Capcom screws gamers with anti-used game policy
« on: June 28, 2011, 12:30:58 AM »
This is even worse than earlier proposed ideas.

I'm shaking my head in sadness. Guess what company I won't be buying games from anymore?

Luckily Capcom hasn't made a game that I've wanted in many years.

And what happens when a save file gets corrupted?

Now that's hilarious! What's next, game publishers? Sending people to our homes to check that we wouldn't let our friends play a level or two?

And what happens when a save file gets corrupted?

Exactly what you thought would happen -- the game is pretty much fapped. And don't forget, if, after a couple of months, you would like to play this game once more from the beginning, it wouldn't be possible -- the save file is already used by past you.

Now that is really ridiculous. I tried to write a longer words, but I don't really know what to say other than that is really ridiculous.

The answer here is simple. Vote with your wallet, and don't buy it. I'm sure enough derps will buy the game that Capcom feels the method they used was viable :/

Eh, it's just the Resident Evil for 3DS (for now), if that doesn't sell, they might just reconsider their policy.
Or blame Piracy, that seems to be fashionable these days ::)

Pirates are not only gonna copy this, but they are gonna crack out that restriction too . .

Yeah exactly, it's a dick move, but it's not exactly going to affect me too greatly.

I really can't see this working long term.

But this wont happen on consoles/hand helds, which is their primary market so they couldn't really care less.

If this becomes widely popular piracy rates will go far higher than they are. In fact I will pirate games I don't even play just to keep hammering the point. The fact these companies claim lost revenue due to piracy against copies of the game that weren't going to be sold in the first place is retarded.
