It has been suggested that the download path should be made a user setting. I just want to assure everybody that we're already working on giving you this option, and ideally we will be able to get out the update containing this fix during the weekend.

Quote
The "Force DirectX 9" option is now On by default.

mine wasn't after the update, it still defaults to unchecked, maybe this is only true for those with DX9 hardware only?

This change only applies for users who haven't changed this option yet (i.e. those who left it on default). The idea behind it is that MWLL is optimized for DirectX 9, and many of the crashes reported/observed come from running MWLL with DirectX 10.

Could we in a future update get more options for the server configure, like a map autodownload selection, for those wanting to test their map, and make it easy for others to join in the test?

Unfortunately adding more options to the server configuration is not the priority right now, because it's only of interest to a small subset of the community. Nonetheless we'll try to accommodate to the wishes to even this small group of players, so you can expect new server configuration options to be added. I cannot promise it will be in the next update though.

I have a suggestion. Would it be possible to add something to the launcher that lets players easily create an autoexec.cfg with a few of the more widely used commands, like s_maxchannels - 128? Kind of like what you've done for the debug dlls.

Not hugely important but it'd just be another thing to help new players who don't want to mess around with config files in order to play the game at its best.  :)

It's possible that we'll add a feature like this, but it's not top priority at the moment.

Thank you all for your suggestions and your continued support!

Thanks :D

@Talon, Yeah don't want to derail the thread about how DX10 runs rediculously better than DX9, and has no crashing compaired to DX9....Oops I went there >.<

@ (TLL)CapperDeluxe: Thanks for answering me. I do hope nothing will be forgotten/lost in here.

So the "Throttle"-setting for VTOL and ASF is different from the one in the vehicle-tab. This should be made more obvious.

PS: Maybe the conflict-check should also check for different functionalities? If there actually are two places to set my cbill-controls, it should not tell me that i caused a conflict by using the same buttons. It does not have to be removed, maybe it is useful to some people. But if a button is used twice, there could be an additional check whether it is bound to the same function twice. If that's the case, the warning is unnecessary.

PPS: I just noticed that there is an explanation for the different throttle-things inside the Actionmapper itself. To me it is not as understandable as the answer CapperDeluxe gave me, but it is there. And the throttle from the vehicle-tab actually works even if the ones for VTOL and ASF aren't set.

PPPS: Maybe the throttle-setting in VTOL- and ASF-tabs should get the same name?

Read out weapons/vehicle stats (by Hiruma Kai)

Create random drop-lists (by me and, involuntarily, Az)

Was that fixed in this update?  It's such a weird bug that comes and goes as it pleases.

This was a tools release, not an update to MWLL itself. That particular issue will be adressed with 0.5.2.

You mean occasionally losing your configured groupings? That's another issue, we still have no steps to reproduce that one.

the problem I originally saw with that is the VTOL throttle behaves a bit different, in that it propels you vertically rather than horizontally
