A Call to Server Testing
« on: July 02, 2011, 05:44:04 PM »
In the near future, NBT will be conducting server load testing for their Virtual Machine server located in Claifornia, USA. MWLL players spanning the globe are invited to demonstrate and report on the game performance during this testing. When this testing will occur will be announced in this thread and also on the NBT forums. Also if you wish to communicate with the NBT staff, you may find them on the newly established TS3 server.

-------Start

NBT has upgraded comms to Teamspeak 3. The IP is voice.netbattletech.com or 66.35.221.45. If any unit would like their own channel (with CA rights) please PM Mitchpate, Sarge, or Xavier.

The Teamspeak 2 server will still be available at 66.35.221.46 for a few days.

-------End

Regards,

Aidan

Please post your location and average in-game ping.  You don't have to actually play, the raw info is what we're looking for.

If/when additional servers are obtained/leased/rented/stolen this info helps pick where they'll be.

The TS3 invite is open to the MWLL community at large as well.  Regardless of your feelings towards NBT, free TS3 is free TS3.

Ping: ~ 81 mS

Note: Sometimes my MWLL client hangs when I try to exit from the NBT Test server. I remedy this by a simple <CTRL-ALT-DEL> key sequence and quit the non-responding Crysis Wars game.

You have to understand the code of duty and honor that rules those who pilot these engines of destruction. Placing such an awesome weapon in the hands of an individual implies a similar gesture of trust

Yeah for whatever reason there's a 100ms toll fee whenever traffic is enter/leaving Russia ???

If we can get a playable ping from Australia, China, and S Korea you'd think the same would hold true for Russia but apparently not >:(

Most of the servers kick people with ping 250 or higher by the understandable reasons. Think about that.

We know :)

At this point kicking would be counterproductive testing.  We're in this for the Science ;)

Or to teach yourselves that a single server will not work?
