TSA_ArcticCanyon

Now, I will agree my settings are to be desired in terms of quality, but the map was built for long ranged fighting, so I have yet to figure out what else to put into it, or what can be changed on it to help against campers. The following screenshots don't really do it justice.

I found out that only an Osiris with Masc and JJ was able to get over this river without falling in, but just barely:

I feel the Version is 0.1 at the moment, or more of a beta version.

Raise your quality standards as high as you can live with, avoid wasting your time on routine problems, and always try to work as closely as possible at the boundary of your abilities. Do this, because it is the only way of discovering how that boundary should be moved forward.

I could not join your server because it did not have auto-download.  :(

See mwll\Documentation\how-to-allow-mapdownload.txt.
If you do not have access to a webserver, the public links of dropbox were reported to work (although no dl progress is shown for them).

Let's try this again, then. I plan to put up a server in a few minutes to test my map on the auto-downloader.

I think there may be a problem with the directory structure in your Zip file. i.e. at the moment it has none. So the autodownloader encounters an error during the download process. According to documentation it should be in a directory: Multiplayer/TSA/TSA_ArcticCanyons within the zip file. Anyway, asides from that I manually downloaded and extracted the level.

I only had a quick look around, but I had to run about in one of those dropships in my BA! Damn it is nicely done! The view from the command centre at the top is amazing!
I noticed there is no minimap displayed in game. It seems you have one as a jpg in the level folder, but it's not loading. I think there is a problem in your xml file, as you have the filename but not the .jpg extension.

I will grab some other 12thVRs a bit later and take a more detailed look when the server is back up (it just vanished off my server browser when I was going to see if I could get the minimap loaded).  8)

It is looking great however! Keep up the great work!  8)

All of the placed objects in the map are from the Mod itself.

As for the directory structure, I fixed it. New version to follow. I also fixed the missing minimap issue, as you were right in assuming the jpg wasn't in the .xml correctly.

I plan to run this server as either or both Equal Sides Equipment or Clan VS Inner Sphere, as IS starts with a low area and a Vtol/ Aero base and a Mech Hanger, and Clan is indicated as having a Attacking force that managed to take over an abandoned Aerospace Hanger. I may just remove the extra hanger and runway, as it currently can only have the Clan Aero's spawn at it.

Some of the water, however, is quite deep, so It may be an interesting fight in the gloom.

Yes I noticed the gloom under water when I had a flyover in spectate mode, before jumping into a BA to explore one of those dropships.
Still it looks great! I shall run around on it more a bit later today if your server is online.  8)
I'll see if I can grab another ranger to help me test various aspects of underwater combat etc.

When I first saw the layout it looked like a clan invasion. So puretech might work well.

I enjoyed playing on your map tonight. Thank you.

That daytime fog you have is down right spooky. :) Drop ship appearing in the haze was epic for me. As well as the canyons.
I spent most of my game as BA ,and I could see epic BA ambushes in the day or night time.

Night time was awesome too. Those aeros are like ninjas in that night.

looking forward to more:)
THIS IS PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY GAME I PLAY. LOVE IT!!!
Watch out! This moving target might bite back!

I like the idea, but the visibility is way too low for me due to the fog. Although it makes for nice brawling, even navigating visually is a bit hard.
Also:
 * at the map borders you simply fall down into water (which you don't always see early enough due to the mist)
 * exterior temperature is 25°C (see this flownode)
 * reentering the drop ships slows the mechs down immensely

Sunrise and sunset look epic though.

Just played a small game on the map. Visibility during daytime (i think it is day) is way to bad. It is actually easier to see under water, than in this kind of fog.

I jumped onto one of the dropships with an Osiris and got stuck there. I am not sure if that's anything you could fix, but i wanted to mention that parts of the ship aren't as solid as they look.

The temperature was already mentioned, snow and 25°C don't go well together ;). Maybe -25°C would work.

Due to the Crymod wiki being down, would you be so kind as to spell it out as to how one changes the exterior temperature, or insert map borders?

Been on that map once, fog WAY too thick . . . 50m line of sight? what?
Also, the water looks completely black to me o.O

@Emy:
I see you already asked about the flownodes, for the map borders you are looking for a forbidden area (example also on SA_Reference).
