Cool I hope they really tuned in to what was great about planetside and left out the not so great bits (mostly the spamming AOE fire down the 2 entrances to the base when under siege and the resulting lag).

Totally agree, but from what I've seen of the models it's not that much of an improvement (think they were posted on RPS a few months back).  I've lost all hope in Sony producing anything remotely decent these days (especially a MMO).  I do hope to be presently surprised though.
