Obviously trying to steal ideas to incorporate into MW3K15/MW5/whatever it's called.

>Implying they're working on MW5

Honestly though, that's pretty cool. I'll keep an eye out to make sure I kill him at least once ;D

I think Ekman was playing a few months back as well.

I hope they're paying attention  :)

that's a nice nod o.O

Dear mr games man.

Please primarily develop for the pc and later port to the console. Do this with a two pronged release schedule, this will allow maximum dps  (demographic pleasing statistics) on both groups.

Please take the concept of a simulator somewhat seriously, I am not talking a derp flight sim, but something to make me feel like "I AM MECHWARRIOR".

Please do not mess with the lore and instead draw from the insanely rich rivers of it that already flow. I would heartly suggest the employment of one of the well reported battletech writers, (Stackpole comes to mine most immediately) this would ensure a lovely rolling story in a style that we are all accustomed to.

Please as a later (post release support is insanely important what what) a campaign/mission editor. You realise I trust you are dealing with a francise that has long been dead in the mainstream, so longevity on this is a must. I hope to be playing this ten years after release.

To further the above post, please make full usage of the tech availible to you at the time. Obviously you have to be aware of the lower powered gamers out there *cough* console scalability *cough* (and I am not trying to teach grandmother to teach eggs here). But this is of course 2011 and Mechwarrior is primarily a PC francise and the modern PC is able of such lovely looking things that so rarely get included due to people trying to appeal to everyone.

But most of all, please, please, please, please don't kill the francise for a quick buck. To some people this is their lives, not just their livelyhoods.

Thank you man who will most likely never read this rambled and incoherent open letter.

Yours Brofully,

Billy Tiberious Wolfhound Mcdonalds Tinkerbell Taylor

Well, at least one of their devs has been on this board for some time . .
Also, did you see that the Pres himself is seemingly playing BT TableTop? O.o

Yes to both accounts.

I'm afraid i am so horribly cynical that I hold no hope for anything these days.

But a man can dream...

... there's plenty of interviews saying the game will be console focused and achievements based on your play style, ie if you use a rifleman a lot, you gain achievement/perks with that mech as combat bonuses.

That's not to say it won't be fun, but don't expect anything remotely like a battletech simulator

CBT has something like this with pilot skills and mech quirks . .
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

I only like the perk idea if its something that can make it so being in something other than everyone being in heavy/assault mechs as an attractive option to players.  Also no unrealistic perks like making your mech invisible to radar.
