Is it CryEngine 3? The video won't load, and there is 0 information anywhere I look.

yes, a lot of the gameplay is the same as well (besides not being in a suit and everything)

Uh...that's not Cryengine 3.  It looks like an extension of the Dunia engine that they used for Far Cry 2.  Crytek has had nothing to do with the Far Cry franchise since the first game, when Ubisoft decided to run off and do their own thing.

Really?

Looked almost like C2 with different character skins and a different story to me :-\
The swimming animations, the slides the character does and the cover mechanics look exactly like C2

Gameplay looks better than Far Cry 2, but that's not hard to do.

I lol'ed.

I personally found it to be better than the original.

But these sorts of games are not too high in my lust list.

I thoroughly enjoyed Farcry 2, it was a welcome break from all the useless CoD clones and Latest Racing game to feature one new car from the title before it. Sure, it's Ubisofts Ugly Baby but it works, albeit a tad buggy. I use Farcry 2 as my home away from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series when I need an injection of random gratuitous violence.

Oh, slightly off topic here, I just got done with Metro 2033. Really, really enjoyed it, right up until the end. I know what happens in the book and least to say I was pretty disappointed with the ending, felt it all a tad anticlimactic. I also know of the alternative ending but it seems like a lot of effort to go through in the game to get it. Looking forward to Metro:Last Light now, the engine looks immense.

I was playing Metro again the other night, it's nice to be able to DX11 and max graphics and just go. Oholololol.

see i went into farcry 2 expecting something along the lines of STALKER, minus the radiation, and replace ukraine with Africa.

Instead,
-i got a game with next to zero mod support
-anemic as hell weapons that were always degrading, apparently no one had ever invented cleaning kits
-No actual inventory, and barely any survival aspects aside from taking your PEEEEELZ
-magic glow in the dark road signs at crossroads that told you where to go.
-night time that was as dark as an overcast day
-Enemies that just sort of stuck to their little areas and only left them to harass the shit out of you, but beyond that there was little to no random life to the game
-Ammo from infinitely resupplying boxes
-weapons free for the taking from infinitely resupplying boxes

If STALKER's depth could be compared to a jungle, Farcry 2 felt like a McDonald's parking lot in comparison.

The only thing i liked about Farcry 2 that i wish more games used was the first person wound animations and the fire spread tech.  But that wasn't enough to save the game for me.

I can totally understand you there.

As much as I enjoyed it compared to the first one (My opinion of all crytek games is that they are tech demos) doesn't even contrast to the amount of enjoyment I've gotten out of Stalker.

I quickly got tired of FarCry 2 and thus have no high hopes for part 3. I don't mind a bit more streamlined/mindless action, but the constantly respawning patrols/roadblocks, boring missions, all-knowing enemies (seriously, 1 shot from range and everybody knows exactly where i am? FarCry 1 was much better there) and a lack of motivation for actually exploring got me.

I can understand everyone's bad points, I see them myself, yet I can't help dropping back into Farcry 2 every other day. I think its because I'm playing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series through game by game, its slowly turning me paranoid. Farcry 3 won't be a buy it right away game for me, it'll be one I wait for to drop in price on a Steam weekend deal. The only games I'm really looking forward to actually buying is Space Marine, BF:3 and Metro:LL.
