Tbh I gotta go with the flow here and say the Leopard.

Sort of kicking myself I didn't think of doing it myself.

I would love to have a set of dx9-destructable jungle and river trees. Though I suppose its just a matter of time before the devs do that themselves. As for a mech, I'd have to say the Ursus.

model the leopard dropship.
it could be used as a crashed ship for fighting about for example.
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

The Thug is quite a sexy machine. But right now the majority vote is the leopard. I will wait one more day to see if anything else arises, so post your suggestions.

I just want to model something that the community will be able to appreciate  ;D   and no matter what it is ill get the practice I want.

The Leopard could be used for several things.
Part of the landscape, capturable repair-bay with big ass turret on top, spawn point, somewhere up in the skybox, for example on a map like extremity . . or the SA space arena for onlookers . .

Yeap, pretty much what I was thinking.

It'll be a welcomed asset and best of luck making it!

New Game: Mode.
Escape. Whoever holds the Ship at the end of the round wins due to being able to escape with it.
This is why the Leopard is such a good idea. First, it's basically a brck form with small little tiny wings and a pointy tip . .
meaning it's mostly easy on the modeling . . And then a leopard is just such a god awfull usefull because versatile ship, that you can do so many things with it on a map . .
hell, if it's the CV Variant, then it can also be used as the sole capturable ASF Base too . .

Ok the Leopard creation is underway. In the past 4 or so hours I was able to get a low poly model. Please keep in mind that this really is my first time legitimately modeling with 3ds max, so you can either be extra harsh or extra kind, your choice lol.

Looking good +1
You have to understand the code of duty and honor that rules those who pilot these engines of destruction. Placing such an awesome weapon in the hands of an individual implies a similar gesture of trust

For a first try, looking good . .
How big do you think you are going to make it?
In scale to MWLL Mechs?
Then it would be godawfully huge . .
Because, technically, 4 MadCat MKII must have room in there . .
Also, see what i meant about a basically brick form with tiny wings?
Big, simple geometric shapes, easy to model. Good starting point.
Getting a good skin/texture on it, THAT will be another Problem.

I plan on it being full scale. And funny you say that because I guess its nickname in BTU is the 'Brick'.
