10v10 Terrain Control Skirmishes!!! Who's in?

So, this is just a feeler to see if any folks wanted to try out some more organized version of TC.  Maybe even have some combined units, since getting ten members from one unit able to play at the same time is a headache.

Open to ideas on how to do this, but here are a few of my own.

3 tickets per player, and 200 tickets per team.  Starting c-bills in the 60-75k range. 45 minutes for the timer.

If you die three times your out for the duration.

I know some folks don't even like Terrain Control, but I have fun with it, just curious to see how one plays out with slightly different rules, and even(numerically) teams. :) :) :)

Cool beans, and of course pubbers are more than welcome to help fill the ranks.   8)

Oh, BTW does anyone know if the player tickets work?  And unfortunately our server is only a 16 slot, so we will have to find someone to play server monkey on another server.

I think the =KoS= guys are down for this too, at least Deity said he was. :)

I love TC! Player tickets do work.

Hmm, I was thinking that 3 was a bit harsh for a 45 min game, and I totally didn't think of BA.  I don't think it can be set up for BA to have more than others though.

The original post/format is totally up for discussion as to what would be best.  That was just a rough draft.  We could just not use player tickets at all, but I think some limit on lives could be interesting.   :)

You could always just start at with a normal game of TC, play it out 10v10 competitively, and then see what changes you feel like making from there.

In TC game mode I don't think you can change starting c-bills, but I may be wrong about that.

So now we just need two teams, I think the Rangers could almost fill out a ten pilot drop.  Oh and a date and time. 

So, everyone is fine with the 3 lives per player, or should we make it 5?  Starting c-bills won't matter much once the fights get going and bases get capped, but c-bill sharing should be allowed. 

Team 1: 12th Vegan Rangers w/support.
Team 2: ????

Edit: Hm, thinking about it... the 3 tickets per player will lead to win-by-annihilation instead of actual TerrainControl. I'd guess something like 10+ would be needed. Or just leave the player tickets out and use fewer team tickets to make deaths impact the score more.

I am pretty flexible, as long as I can drag myself away from X3:TC... shouldn't be difficult if I have a concrete date & time though.  8)

That would mean killing 10 players 3 times each.  Yes that could happen, but with only 45 mins on the clock and 200 team tickets, it most likely would not happen like that.  Or one team could just headhunt the top players from the opposing team.  :o :o

I just think it would make it more fun, 10 per player would make having set player tickets meaningless.  My point is that we can make this game mode a bit different, and I am a little bored of simple no-respawn 5v5 scrimmages.  So will it be 3, 5, 10, or unlimited player tickets.  My vote is for 3, please cast your preference or another idea for making this unique and fun.

Well this was almost tested out tonight, as we were unable to get an OMN working on a stable server.  Everyone just hopped on LGN TC DeathValley.   Though it quickly became the popular server it was quite fun.

This weekend is good for many of us.  Let us know a good time on either Sat. or Sunday afternoon-evening.  As some may know we have a number of players across the Pacific, so late night(US timezones) matches could work too.   ;D
