I didn't ask for a timeline, I didn't ask for specifics, I know how the devs work.
They didn't answer.
Thats life.
Thats why I want this thread locked.

They last said they were working on it in .4.
It is now .5, they can say yes or no that they are working on it.
I don't care.
But how much can it hurt to ask.

Too many people in here attempting to toast this thread, but I personally think it's a good thread, and the issue of banking hasn't been brought up in awhile.

I was originally expecting a banking fix for 0.5, as the last official update from the devs stated that they had a good idea of how to adjust the banking issue, so it's likely not too far off.

I don't know why turrets were brought up in  banking discussion.  This thread is about ideas regarding banking, hopefully some dev insight, and nothing more.  If you wish to discuss the issue of bass turrets, start a dedicated thread for it.
Sorry about this rant. blarg
:-*

Most instances when someone is rolling out in a clan heavy when everyone else is in slightly better lights is because he went back and repaired rather then dying in combat.  When he then stomps the enemy team they scream "banking bastards!" to make themselves feel better.

In most instances of banking out of 12 people on a team only 3 or so submit to the bank.  Whilst fighting an enemy team with a banker as long as you can kill a couple of their mechs really wont make a difference in the critical 10minutes of the round.

After that its just the team with the most "vets" or good player wins...as extra cash for the opposition wont help stop even 3 good players in meds in a group.

Although I do admit I have seen some clans who share their money and prove to be brutal.  But would you class sharing money between three friends as banking? Where do you draw the line?

If anything what proves to skew public games balance to one side then the other more then anything is a couple of good players working together.  Even if they do not share their cash.

Hell, you would have greater results of even pub matches by banning close team work then with banning banking(as it occurs a lot less).
Moo.

I find that the team who communicates the most tends to win.  Also in TC, the ones who avoid the air assets are usually the ones who hold the ticket lead.

I've seen some incredible comebacks by teams who were supposedly stacked against because they decided to actually do some strategic playing.  Usually this takes one person who knows what he is doing to step up and start typing.

It actually usually involves the winning team slacking and treating the game like TSA as the enemy caps all the bases

I've been there many times. The second your team hits the 200 point lead mark, they'll start camping and firing at units at long range while the enemy creeps in and takes the majority of the bases

There may be some complacency on the winning side that contributes to any comeback.

But I've also seen plenty of comebacks where winning team complacency had nothing to do with the reversal, and the losing team just needed a little guidance to start making intelligent plays.

I saw that once in ThunderRift. I told them to stay at the one bae closest to the home base. And the other team kept on rushing, but never made it. They just died trying. We just repaired and secured our positions. Great game. For us.

While playing on the TLL servers i've observed that while Cbill sharing is still enabled, they've made it so that at the beginning of the game the most a new player can buy is Light Assets, and as the player actually starts to earn Ranks, they unlock the Medium, Heavy, and Assaults..sorta like a level up system or something. So while a player could be transferred money from his buddies and be able to buy the more pricey assets, he still won't be able to buy assets that break the gameplay flow of progression. (Stuff like bringing out MKII's and Atlas's when the first blood hasn't even been made..)

Im not sure if its an experimental fix for the Cbill sharing or if TLL servers just mod the rules to operate like that, but I certainly approve.

Regarding the banking changes: It's not forgotten but we can't give a specific time frame on its implementation.
