DX9 is a better choice, I had a few crashes running DX10 and switched to 9 and have a much smoother experience,far fewer crashes.

For me dx9 just crashes all the time and dx10 works flawlessly.

There are people who have to use dx9 and there are people who just have to use dx10, why the other crashes for people will always be a mystery.

And is also why i said he should try the other dx version. Just make sure you wipe shaders when you change dx else it will make things worse.

allright, i have tried DX9 in the past, its a lot less smooth. I deleted shaders and ran your config. Its nice, no serious hangups. Buuut it still hiccups, at random points it freezes for half a second then continues. its strange, but at least it didnt totally crash. hopefully this is the end of it.

That's what i find with dx9 as well. Anyway is there anything particular going on or what your looking at when you get a hicup? Do you get any hicups in the hanger expecially in the top part?

Also try turn on the crysis fps monitor and check your fos when the hicups happen and see if they are happening because of a large drop in Fps.

Also do you get hicus in small or empty servers? Cause at the end of the day you might just have to lower settings to get it smooth assuming nothing is wrong hardware wise.

Ok, I used your configuration and havent had a "freeze/ctrl alt del" since...

On Marshes_TC (just like Bills paint pic in Epic paint skillz thread)

Everytime I head to the north base it freezes....either side, 5 out of 5 times I've headed to the north base...

It's odd I know, haven't had issue with any other map...just the one

right well sadly i am back here with two issues

#1 i had a triple crash on marshes last night, bug reports were sent, config used, some settings on medium for gods sake. is marshes just buggy as hell?

#2 Palisades ff's up my interface whenever i play it and it lasts until i restart crysis. It breaks me being able to see player names, and it breaks my money transfer ability

The money transfer issue is generally a DX10 problem, haven't had it running dx9

There are points in Marshes that are crashy, TSA more so than TC.

I tried to play marshes twice today after playing for over an hour on another map fine and both times crashed after 5min on marshes. So then I gave up playing MWLL for the morning. Marshes is completly bugged it seems, but we goto play it to send the error reports so it gets fixed
