For some reason, the link you provided will not work for me now. The Xfire webiste says "viewing disabled". Is this thread on the Xfire website still active?
Thread moved to Support - Open so it will get more visibility.

I also replied there with more questions and ideas.

out of curiosity do you know if you can steam video and record it at the same time?

If I got you right, yes.  There is a broadcast option in the xfire-client properties.

This may help you out: http://www.xfire.com/about_live/

It should be able to.  I've never taken advantage of it, but it SHOULD do both at once.

Ok so this is a necro, but could we get XFire support for AT1:BT as well? Seems like it wants the game to be installed and have entries in the registry (which AT1 does not seem to have), and I made an attempt to add it manually via the xfire_games.ini, it shows up on the list but can't be launched and XFire doesn't come up when the game is loaded.

Then ask the XFire staff on the XFire forums since it's not related to MWLL? :-P

I do not get it.

Like a Smart phone, which I have absolutely no use for, this extra piece of software seems superfluous.

Explain its utility to me, but do not be a troll about it.

You see, when people have these things called "friends" that also play video games they like to use programs that allow them to stay in contact with them across different games.

But alas, the utility only exists when one has friends.

Xfire isn't really needed when Steam works just fine for most of the same functions.  I can add Mektek's AssaultTech 1, a non-Steam game, to my Steam games list and get the same functionality of the Steam overlay as I do playing Counter-Strike.

I should have been more specific - I'm trying to record AT1 with Xfire... though I think I remember hearing that Steam can take video now? Might have been thinking of something other than Steam.

Well for just recording, there's always FRAPS.  Looking in Sourceforge, try Cam Studio or VirtualDub.  Would be better than waiting for any Xfire update.
