There are lots of awesome maps in mwll and the reason why I start this thread is that i want to make the community think about new map ideas for mwll.
I m unable to make maps myself and this thread isnt a request but a suggestion.
So...
We have some snow maps, some desert maps, an urban map, a burning map, one that seems to be on a moon with a purple sun, a map with a beach and an ocean, a map with mountains and trees and a map with swamps...
And i thought a long time but i havent any idea for new maps. Maybe i m just  not cretif enough...
the only map idea i have is to make a map with big wide graslandscapes and some mountains like in scottland but thats nearby the same like clearcut...

What are your ideas ? : D

TSA_Northwind is a good open grassland type of map with plenty of hills. I believe it was based on South Dakota hills.

I like the idea of scotland's hills - I was looking for a place to recreate and I may take this on as my next project.

i don't know how much physics can be fapped in this mod . .
Dyson-Sphere. With the Sphere being the ground and Mechs running around on the inside of the sphere . .

"Indoor" Maps are what we are currently lacking too.. everything so far is outside :)  ... pulling it off though is a bit of a feat, given the area normally needed for mech combat. TSA/TC maps indoor probably wont work, but SA is a different story...
 
Think along the lines of a huge asteroid space station, or something like the huge station Wolfs Dragoons had till it got blown up by terrorists lol.. maybe an orbital starleague facility of some kind like the ones used to organise kerensky's exodus(fiction fluff lol)

HOW would you go about doing that Wilson? Would it end up being strictly objects? as Voxels tend to give more of a organic shape.

Voxels also take up more computing power than is available in most countries on the scale needed i think . .

no no, that's just a map based on the hex sheets with the skybox making up the room . .
i think a map like the old UT1 Maps . . GiantBathroom for example . .
or when you play DN4E and get shrunken . . something like that would be neat too . .

Okay, So I am attempting this idea, as it does sound most interesting.  Everything is a Scale to 50!!! Freaking HUGE!! So far it all seems to be staying solid.  I have a Two Story Restaurant, Surrounded by Trees and bushes to block the edge of the map...

HAHA It is already looking epic and i have nothing really on it... Getting the vegitation looking decent is going to be an issue lol

Please ignore the mountainscape background and the lack of vegitation on three sides... i more wanted to show... we have a most freaking epic map in store!
