Hmm sounds very interesting,

I might need to check this out.

Funny that this thread is sort of having a reverse effect and causing established MWLL players to go in search of other games :D.

Not that anything else I've been playing since the 0.1.0 release has ever kept me away from MWLL.

Yeah, I found that Nehrim mod for Oblivion and am giving it a spin.  It's ok so far, but I still hate alot about Oblivion's mechanics, supposedly the story is better, albeit, it is spoken in German with English subtitles. :)

I suck!! But WE are AWESOME.  We started a unit.  What's that?!  YOU WANNA TOUCH MY UNIT?!! :P ^^12thVR Recruitment Page(clickthepic) ;)

http://www.moddb.com/mods/mechcommander-omnitech

I DLed from that site as well, and it works fine, so maybe you just need to download it once more?

Thats all well and good except it takes me five hours every time because of the silly bandwidth limit they use. Its only 470mb it should take me like 10min not 5h.....

Sigh.

Even with it throttled, I would still think that's excessive. Perhaps your getting corrupted packets and that could be killing the speed.  Or just a bad route.  I'd try to find another place to grab it from, no doubt.

I tried again, 3h later, it's done, and this time it's not currupted! Had to download some Visual basic files to get the mod working, but now it's working great :D

What destruction have I unleashed?  ;D

Just an FYI: There is one mission from the "reworked" MC2 campaign that will crash about 5 minutes into the mission. There is a small aircraft that takes off in the middle of the map and flies off the map to the east edge. Causing some kind of unit not on map error. You can get around it by killing the aircraft before it takes off. Can't remember the actual mission number, but you'll know it when you hit the error.

Now to find a good House Liao Avatar....

Yes! Now go and found the Capellan Confederation as a unit for MWLL and those of us in the Knights of the Inner Sphere will finally have another ally/enemy to rub shoulders with once the planetary league kicks off! :D

Hah! Awesome... though as I tend to remember CC doesn't tend to be the most popular of Houses. ;D

I spent most of my teenage years and college life playing Battle Tech MUX's, ate up all the MechWarrior games (speaking of which anyone remember that RTS-style top-down strategy mech game?), and I just found MWLL last week AND just registered on the forums today:P

Now to find a good House Liao Avatar....

Which one?  Crescent Hawk's Inception?  Crescent Hawk's Revenge?  MegaMek?

Every time I see that picture I want to photoshop Kevin Garnett over the cat, crossout "MadCat" and write "Timberwolf"  ;D
