I don't think there will be any news until next year. Generally the marketing cycles for games start between 3 and 6 months before release. August would be too late in the cycle for a Xmas release, unless they were planning to dump it out without any fanfare. Which would be very odd.
Hey SquareSphere,
3 to 6 months is really veryveryvery short for a marketing-team to promote a game. Don't forget: Neither on the E3 nor on the Gamesconvention was a presentation of the game. I have some experience and insight in the business (I worked for several newspapers and EA). And trust me: A gamestudio like Piranha would not make such a misstake.
You start with
- hints, videos, pictures and rumors you spread in the internet (check)
- exclusive stories about the ongoing work ( )
- first exclusive pictures ( )
- presentations on several occasions ( )
- crossmedia commercials ( )
- articles ( )
- events ( )
- prerelease ( )
- pressrelease ( )
- official release ( )
- ...
from "behind the scenes" to "official release" it can easily take 12 to 36 months (and we all know, how fast Piranha works - see: Duke Nukem Forever

(I pray they will be faster this time))
