Sure the relative size may be big, but that does not make it easier to hit than the broadside of the MKIIs arms for instance.

No, but less tempting a target.
It seems we are in agreement, only expressing it differently.

While we're on the subject of Shadowcat arms, what the hell is up with the 'UAC20 in a box' on the A variant?

I find it very difficult to blow it off due to it's compactness.

The shadowcat visual configurations are a bit hodge podge, with the odd hueg gauss on the C and the box UAC20 on the A.

This

Tiny AC20, yet regular sized LBX20, small and large gauss mounts, makes no sense broez

True, the ShadowCat has some weird weapon arms :). I don't really mind the compactness of the UAC20 gameplay wise, but it just looks so strange.

I sort of like the variation on the gauss between prime and c. Not too difficult to make up some good excuse for why it is so. I will definitely agree that the boxy UAC20 looks very weird though.

I shudder to think how fast it would fall of if it was bigger however. That UAC20 variant needs a bit more prolonged engagement window then the LBX one, so it ends up exposing that main weapon longer. The nature of close combat is also such that there will almost always be an enemy that can target that arm, and it does present a very tempting target. Still, it does look damned weird being in that little box. I mean, with that big a projectile it would probably even be hard to fit the firing mechanics in that thing.

/Merf - Bag-in-box, now with UAC20 flavour

I'll be honest, I love the box.

I'll be honest, I love the box.

You mean you love the utility of it being smallish or you actually love the look?

/Merf - If something is vaguely box like, is it then boxy?

I like the box if only to mostly differentiate between variants more easily.
