We have a LAN on the 22nd.  That is horribly, horribly disappointing.  :'(

on nice, does Olive let you do mulitplayer as well?  You'll have to let us know.

Unfortunately not yet, well, when you select it it says something along the lines of "not currently available".  I think they are planning to implement it soon

Just finished the Single Player campaign. The final boss fight kinda sucked... friggin quicktime events...

Re: Merf
The comm thing is fixed. As to the pub tactics I'll have to agree but every now and then you'll find one or two like-minded souls and just absolutely dominate a map.  3 marines working in tandem with complimentary weapons is...  :D

Really? Really truly? Now that is good news.
How did they solve it? Some in game option somewhere? I must remember to check this. Sucked big time to have to unplug the mic for that game.

I definitely hear you on the 3 marines working together. I am married to the assault pack so if you find me in a game that is what I will be having in one form or another. I know for certain I have encountered some really annoying people working well together. Soon as you hit either one, you get a melta gun blast in the back from the other.  It is also nice to see sometimes when you notice people splitting intuitively going to good cover spots appropriate for the situation and not just zerging this or that spot. People who know to draw some attention at the right time and then get back in cover, letting team mates advance in for the kill etc. So yeah it happens of course. ^^

Yeah, very annoying to be honest. Not very challenging and quicktime events have been done too often and with too little imagination since soon after God of War. People just keep using it as standard format 1-A.  was over all underwhelmed by the single player.

PC of course ^^
A game that includes free aiming I would never want to play on a console. Especially not in multiplayer.

i'm PC as well.  They fixed the voice thing by implementing push to talk and having it selected by default.  Sure there a very few that leave their mics open still but it's far far less than before.

One the single player, i feel they were too cautious in their approach because they were trying to sell it as a generic AAA title to a new audience.  but as a first try into that segment it wasn't half bad with a lots of room to get better.

played the co op and it's brutally hard.  Your aim needs to be razor sharp to get head shots just to conserve ammo which is pretty scarce if i'm honest.  In pick up groups people tend to rush and only get ammo for themselves.

If you're playing devastator DO pick the perk for extra ammo it helps a ton.  Tactical marines leave the melta at home.  It's not that useful and it's really low ammo cap is a huge handicap.  Tacs that use weapon versatility, note that picking up does not affect both weapons, only the weapon you have out.

Haven't played as an assault yet, but all I can say is don't rambo and help cover your devi's backs.

I actually got to the last wave on my first try with a bunch of random dudes (one of which was horribad) and didn't die once until the last few waves (died twice then) where I was always the last guy left with no ammo and 50 orks closing on from all directions, the first time someone managed to spawn in just before I died, and the other time we lost (right at the last round :'()

funny thin was I was leading the team by the end of it and I joined halfway through 8)
In case you're wondering I used stalker bolter, storm bolter, and flash grenades

I WAS gonna play with Square and Dim, but you guys ignored me (or were playing your own round) until I started playing another game, and by the time I finished that, both of you were gone >:( ::) :P

Aurailius and I and two other duds he knows have been battling the orks pretty hard, I usually roll tac with a bolter loaded with kraken bolts. I'm torn between the larramans blessing and master crafted wargear, the extra explosive oomph of grenades is a very welcome boon, but so is faster healing.

Besides, I'm a monster with grenades, ask Aurailius.

Yes, I am an asshole, I know this.
It is intentional, though usually not too horribly personal.
