Also, I found a French tank I like: ARL-44.  For a tier 6 to have a gun with 215 penetration and 240 damage is rather impressive...especially considering its frontal armor easily bounces most shells from its tier.  It has low hitpoints and no side/rear armor, and turns like a slug, but it is nice to have a tier 6 that can damage tier 9 tanks...and if you end up at the top of the match, it is quite a juggernaut.

Did you actually get through the B1 grind or did you skip it with free Exp?
I've played the D2 and could get the B1, but when I noticed that it doesn't get a better gun, even though it's a Tier higher, I've decided to not play that tank line for now...

Currrently on the AMX40, at least that one get's a 75mm cannon, although it doesn't help much when it gets matched into Tier 7 battles.

AMX 40 is hella fun. I put a spall liner in mine and just drive around terrorizing everything my tier or lower

I skipped it.  I had ~270k free xp lying around collecting dust, so I researched that and the Object 212 (heading toward the Object-whatever-number-it-is...the tier 8 Russian one).  The B1 seems terrible, looking at its stats, and seeing how poorly they perform in-game.  It makes the M3 Lee and Jagdpanzer IV look like wunderpanzers for their tier, by comparison.  Also, it looks like a witch doctor shrunk its head or something...big tank, tiny turret, lol.  It is the polar opposite of the upgraded M24 Chaffee.

I have the B1 and it stinks on ice. I have just about enough XP to move up, however, as of now my priority is to finish decking out my E-50 and on the American line moving up from a Sherman e8 to the T20 and from the M6 to the T29. I am also on the long grind with my E-75 to the E-100; I am about 1/3rd of the way there. the E-50 has everything on it except for the tracks, turret and the top 88 and top 105. I have not started the Russian line yet because of the current priorities list. When those two tanks the E-50 and E-75 grind is done and I have the E-100 maxed I will start on the Porsche line with the Tiger P and finish up the TD line with the Jagdpanther, Elephant (Ferdinand) and Jagdtiger.

I have decided that I am happy with my maxed Hummel and have no need to go further I will research the next arty the GW Panther so I can use the Hummel as a cash and XP producer. I will then work on the American and Russian lines more seriously, as for the French line I have decided to go to and stop at their version of the Sherman the AMX M4 (1945) with the German Maybach diesels and heavier guns. It will be at this point I will focus on the Russian line. When the British line comes into play I will have enough cash and XP producers to quickly work through it. I as of now have 10 or so empty tank bays to fill. I purchased them looking ahead for new tanks from various lines when they come available. To exchange the XP over and purchase bays and paint my tanks ( the keepers) I have been using the free gold from the recent "free" goldies tanks and game gold. Personally, I do not think I am doing so bad since I started with a L-tractor when the game went alpha August 27Th 2011 and have been grinding away ever since.
