I see no flowchart diamond for BEER; therefore, it cannot be real, since that decision is always the most important.

KingLeer and Defender, I think I speak for the entire community when I say, thank you for taking time to answer some of our questions and concerns. Little things like that can really improve the morale of the community. As much as I am sure you want to offload this job to your new PR guy, I know I would still like to hear from you personally.

Always nice with information! Many thanks.

That said though, I think what Xarg suggested was not some jab at the workflow for assets etc. Rather  a suggestion that smaller updates with little content could help keep interest up. Anyone with a smartphone should know the kind of updates I think he is referring to. You know the ones that say "Fixed [specific bug X]". Basically just taking what one have finished and push it out as an update regardless of how "little" it is. Maybe the only thing fixed in an update is the range on pulse lasers so text match the actual range? Maybe the only fix is a text fix to one asset variant? Such would be enough to keep interest up I believe, in that people feel progress.

Of course that suggestion is made with little knowledge of the internal process (bit more knowledge now though thanks to KingLeer) and if the time it takes to make a beta-build is considerable, then of course such smaller updates become costly and possibly not worth the effort it takes to make them. Anyhow, I think that was what Xarg was talking about, not necessarily talking about new assets and content like that.

/Merf - Would agree in the thought that frequent small updates would help to keep interest up.

Correct Merf, although what Leer posted was interesting too, and many people found it useful.

I've lost interest lately because the gameplay has become a bit stagnant for me. SA was fun with 32 people, but now its underplayed. Also, most servers keep rotating the same maps over and over.

I'm more or less waiting for the next patch.

Many players maybe the same.  I know my activity has dropped off quite a bit.  Hopefully the next patch will rekindle my excitement  (as it always does :D)

My interest has only been salvaged due to Sandbox... no offense to the DEVs but this patch that was claimed to be coming in a few weeks is taking a while. I know 5.2 is near completion with their playtest news posts.

I guess they learned again, no more hinting when a patch may come out. :D
