I have a laptop that can play for that long. And will soon have a laptop capable of running MWLL for that long on a battery.  :P

New idea- would I be able to use an external hard drive to add RAM and/or improve gigahertz?

Yeah Sony should have stayed out of the portable market.  They aren't going to steal any of Nintendo's customers and just can't compete against laptops in the gaming/movie department.

There is only one reason for me to purchase a Vita, and it is not here yet: Wipeout, the anti-grav racing series.  Wipeout: Pulse is my most often-played game on my PSP, and Wipeout: Pure was my most often-played game before that came out.

So...I will wait.

Not exactly.  When the Game Gear died you simply tossed in more batteries and went back to gaming.  With the Vita you have to recharge it or plug it into the wall.

I'm sure that, just like the PSP, you can play it while it's charging. Also, you could carry around more than one Vita battery. :P
