I'm liking the changes you've made, looking better and better.

Thanks Mate

Was able to clear the desk today, they are all at what i call the blank stage . detailing next.

The first one got its first coat of primer, this will get sanded .
Then its paneling with xray film cut to shape, then another coat of silver
Once im happy with the silver undercoat, i will spatter them with a super saline solution and let the droplets crystalise.

The cammo skin goes over this, and once dry i rub the salt crystals off exposing flecks of silver as part of the weathering process. Then its out with the pastel sticks and a bit of sandpaper, the pastels get ground to powder and applied as exhaust (black/grey) and rust (orange) etc etc

First blank

The devil, is in the detail. I have to admit i hate this part of the build, lots of repetition, small elements, absolute accuracy both in the cut and position of the elements, i spent 5 mins positioning 2 elements yesterday turned to get the glue to lock them in position, bumped my elbow...... much wailing and gnashing of teeth entailed  ;D

just scratching the surface in these pics, the black stuff is Xray film, of which i have copious piles of the stuff, but its thin, and works really well. the white is stock styrene from the hobby shop
so detail below the missle ports, and on top of the shoulders, the toes get the treatment with styrene as do the front of the gun mounts

Those are looking fantastic! Even just those small additions make a big difference.

I can't wait to see how they all look together once they're all finished.

Added a plate down the beak, which i think emulates the CBT look reasonably well

As previously stated your Bro status is very much full.

I might pester you to make something for me depending on the cost.

Perhaps the YLW in a dynamic pose.

Thanks Bro, much appreciated

Heres some of the last of the silver shots

I loved cammo on the locust on the cover of decision at thunder rift (being my first BT novel), so my first vulture got given that scheme in two shades of gray. Its a bitch of a scheme to pull off, but im looking at the model now alongside all my others and i'm not too unhappy, weathering with crushed pastels will also cover a multitude of sins, once i dirty it up it should look ok.
Thanks for the encouraging comments though, its what keeps me doing this stuff

Hey dude, do you think you could do one in the CJW livery?

It'd stoke my fire to think of you guys playing with one of our dudes as a sort of lone merc (or Ronin deal) dealing out some punishment.
