I'll give it a good shot.  I turned supersampling from 4x to 8x and got another FPS boost.

That doesn't make any sense at all.

If you are completely CPU limited you could pour on the AA without seeing a hit, but you should never get a performance improvement, all other things being equal.

Sure you were using the same kind of AA each time?

I am just interested if he has done anything special to achieve this and if so why.

I've listed my in game graphics settings and my config files; other than this I am not doing anything special.

Im not the only one to notice it toad. Quite a few people have the exact thing and they all normally have weak cpus.

I can't see if your using dx9 or 10. If your using dx9 maybe that's why? I should have new cpu by Tuesday then I can put my pc together pray it works and i can test how much vram is being used in dx9 and dx10 on my cards. I just remember my friend making me test how much vram was used a while ago before my pc died.

I'm using DX10.

DX9 runs worse and gives me annoying visual artifacts related to shadows.

I know DX9 uses more system memory, but I do not think it uses more video memory.

It was worth a shot. Is this on all maps or certain ones? Meh might just wait till my pc is working again tommorow I will feel pretty stupid if I suddenly get huge vram usage lol.
