Join Twitter and follow @InnerSphereNews. When they reach 450 followers, they will release the next fragment of the Battlemech picture. I know some of you guys don't like Twitter but if you could just look past that hesitancy and join into the excitement being generated, I am sure you will motivate Piranha Games and the larger MechWarrior community, just the way you have encouraged and complimented the MWLL team.

This is the first new AAA MechWarrior game in over a decade!!!

Please join in !  :D

If all you use is a PC, you can install the TweetDeck app here -> http://www.tweetdeck.com/    and then you can only follow@InnerSphereNews.

If so, it's not the rendition seen in the teaser trailer, because that one did not have modeled arms.

// hm, or did it? need to rewatch it :)

CBT forums have someone speculating a Victor, but then another revealed piece does not seem to fit, so it is possibly multiple mechs in the picture.

While I applauded their efforts to engage MW/Battletech fans, I hate these types of social network "games".  We've had concept art or fan art for BT for years.  It doesn't draw any interest, to me, to get fan to "unlock" more pictures.

We've all the seen the trailer by now.  It give a pretty darn good view of what their vision for the game is.  If there were actual game renders instead of concept art, it might be a different story.

I have a question, one of the @InnerSphereNews tweets references a year date of 3048. I wonder if the BT timeline has changed?

Yeah, the year reference is weird, since MechWarrior is supposed to be in the year 3014. Maybe they just did not care about what they tweeted.

Why would it be set in 3048? Nothing major happens from 3039 to 3049. The Clans didn't even invade the Periphery till 3049, they didn't invade the Inner Sphere until 3050.

There's some minor conflicts such as the Draconis Combine stomping pirates, and Cappellan Confederation clashing with Kell Hounds. But thats about it. Hardly anything to warrant a single player campaign. At most you could simulate a battle through a single map.

Maybe their plan is already to have a DLC soon after or by Kerensky a expansion pack of the Clan Invasion.  They possibly realized how folly it is to not have Clans in their game, as that could mean a huge chunk of Clan Invasion era fans may not be inclined to buy it?
