Mod of the month review
« on: October 06, 2011, 01:59:10 AM »
Found this today, sorry if its a repost

The fabled MechWarrior series has been dormant for years till last summer when a MechWarrior 5 trailer was released. Battle Tech and Mech fans went into a frenzy and I was salivating for this new sequel. Right after Christmas, the MechWarrior Living Legends Crysis mod was released and gave many gamers a surprise present. Many proclaimed MWLL one of the best multiplayer mods ever and I am one of those people. So Crytek and FilePlanet joined the bandwagon and combined forces to promote the new Reinforcement Pack update.

MechWarrior Living Legends mod brings the series to the Cry Engine 2, so it looks all sexy and hot with great special effects and graphics. The visuals are top notch but the gameplay is no slouch. In fact, it is even better than what I remember with MechWarrior 3. The mod only gets better because it gets a Reinforcement Pack today that adds countless improvements to the mod. The Reinforcement Pack is more than just a patch and adds new vehicles, 2 new Battlemechs and variants, destructible environments, and much more. The gameplay is top notch and will not disappoint because it is even more satisfying then the original MechWarrior games.

You have to understand the code of duty and honor that rules those who pilot these engines of destruction. Placing such an awesome weapon in the hands of an individual implies a similar gesture of trust

It's a year old.

"Concentrate on the moment, each moment is its own reality. It has a particular thisness. You can't predict, but you can explain. Or try. If you are observant, and lucky, you can say, this is why this is happening! It's very interesting!"

I'm happy to see our publicity regurgitated.
For all we know new players might find crusty old articles of how friggin' awesome we are and be inspired to play.

The more advertising we have circulating the net the better. The more post, blocks etc. directly linking to MWLL will only increase peoples knowledge and thirst to join in our venture, not to say that it helps supporting the google referral hits ;D

In addition to MWLL I play Lord Of The Rings Online (LOTRO).
I have links to the MWLL main site and the Beta release trailers in my signature on those forums and I have made a post there, in the off topic section, about the mod hoping to bring some more attention to it.
Hope you guys dont mind me doing this. ::)

I really love this mod and want to help promote it, so I tell others I play with about it when I can.
And every now and then I come across a fan of MW/BT who havent heard about MWLL, most of whom are excited to hear about the mod.

I remember that thread from MekTek years ago. You were that guy with the Black Knights and stuff?

And as always, publicity is always amazing for a mod.

I'd encourage members to spread the word of MWLL as much as possible, I do not see that there is anything wrong in members advertising for the MOD on their own. Hell I got banned on battletechuniverse.org for posting a copy/paste quote of AoP :o My first an only post there ::) message clearly said "The Spam Block System has banned your account because you have been identified as a spammer." Gee I R a bot yeah :P

With the amount of moderator reports I get from you, sometimes it seems so.
Bots just wouldn't be as laggy as you, so you're legit.

Yeah I got a thread locked, and then unlocked on another forum.  Just have to tread a bit lightly some places, but even if 3 or 4 ppl check out the mod, still good.   :)

I suck!! But WE are AWESOME.  We started a unit.  What's that?!  YOU WANNA TOUCH MY UNIT?!! :P ^^12thVR Recruitment Page(clickthepic) ;)
