Or along the lines of Fallout.
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

I never played the original, just the FPS, so I got no idea how the game's gonna be (w00t retracted until further notice :P)

Well, basically, if you remember what Fallout 1, Falout 2 and Fallout Tactics looked like, you know what it's gonna be like.

Unity Engine.
Basically like Flash, only more specialized and better . .

No, those are a bit older i think.
One of the Devs actually just posted a new screenshot of the game to the dumpshock boards today .  .  .
But the damn boards are not reachable again, for me to retrieve a link <.<

Edit: ah, they are back, so here's that link:

Ah, that's what BSG Online uses. I played that game for several months.

That's why I said it hehe :P, I'm pretty sure it's gonna have allot of the same base systems and web-engine.  Shadowrun would have made THE best MMo evar imo, but it would have taken a brave studio to take it on (kinda like a Btech MMo I suppose).

Yeah, SHADOWRUN is PERFECT for an MMORPG, because it IS an RPG and basically a sandbox world . .
Other than Battletech, which is, basically, a simulator/rts or turn by turn strategy . . which does NOT translate well to MMORPG, AT ALL . .
Closest you could get with BATTLETECH would be something like WORLD OF TANKS.

Battletech and mechwarrior are different things though really,  MW would be perfect for a MMO if you could narrow down the scope, battletech would be a good WoT clone type thing though as you say.

Problem being, that the World of Battletech, the UNIVERSE of Battletech is, at it's core, horribly boring . . a select few get to go out and play war in their gigantic toys from time to time, a few others are there to cater to their needs . . everybody else is no different from you and me today . .
So . . what do you want to play in the MWMMORPG? O.o Clan Elemental? Mechwarrior? ASF-Pilot? Tanker? Dropship-Tech? MechTech? Clan-Scientist? If you play the combat type, what do you do when you do not have a battle to wade into? Sulk? Start one?

No, the CBT-Universe is, sadly, very much not fit to be the setting of an MMO . .
Same with Star-Trek actually . .

WH40K . . now THERE is a Setting for an MMO . .
