You won't be able to run it with XP, since XP only supports up to DX9 which the game neglects. You'll need to upgrade pretty much.

Bf3 will NOT run on xp. You need dx10 graphic card or better with windows to support it. This means no xp.

If the Win 7 is bundled with your laptop, this is what is called an OEM version of Windows. Microsoft will only allow you to install that Win 7 on the machine it was bundled with, unless of course you want to call MS up and brow beat them endlessly so you can install Win 7 on 2 machines but even then I don't think they will let you do it. Eventually they will catch you and then call you a pirate and then deactivate one of your machines. Now, if you never connect one of the machines to the Internet, MS will never know you are running Win 7 on 2 machines. But of course, you will never receive any updates from MS and your poor computer will die a slow and agonizing death into PC obscurity.

You can purchase a "retail" copy of Win 7. This will allow you to install Win 7 on any one machine at a time that Win 7 will run on. Isn't M$ wonderful ? Hey can you blame them, Bill Gates needs the money. Times are hard.

The funny thing is I'm still getting it because I enjoyed the beta (besides the browser shitfappfagslap BS that my antivirus always closes because it's such a retarded idea anyway)

bf3 system requirements?

So high, you'd have to hit the "Eject" button to even see them.
When will full game/demo/beta be released?
We're planning a beta release in the next *very* few weeks. At this time, we can't be more specific. Please stop asking.

No, I will not stop asking.

The key that your laptop will be using from the factory will not be the key that is on the bottom of the laptop.  When you are sold an OEM computer, it ships with a pre-actived key that the manufacturer uses on their deployment images.  These images are used on many machines (thousands) and use special keys that cannot be used without installing the OS from a factory/recovery image.  Legally you can't do it but from a purely technical and activation standpoint you certainly can use the key on the bottom of your laptop to install Windows 7 on your desktop and Microsoft will never know the difference because both machines will be using different keys.

If you have any questions about the Windows 7 installation or activation process, shoot me a PM.  I imagine the direction you're heading is not something that the MWLL forum mods appreciate being discussed in public :)
