Excepting that those are long-range weapons...my point was more along the lines of "why would you want to put an existing loadout that relies on getting into close range on a slower chassis?" than "duplications are bad".
Because on some maps, getting into UAC20 range is not very difficult. The Daishi has quite a bit more armor as well, and a short range config is needed to serve in the line breaker role, which the MKII does not have the armor for. Besides we have 4-6 variant slots that can be filled, a short range, 2 mids and long range loadout would make sense.
... but I don't agree with me.

Didn't mean to type "me". I'm a male and I fail at multi tasking. Especially when typing.
please don't tell me your other hand was busy during typing
that is a sick hand. it might have a mind of its own.
Number one. The Daishi is far more powerful then most mechs(Kodiak is even ground. it has a ton load of missiles packs.) because it has lots of omni and is an armored up asshole. and anyway equip it with 2 clan Gauss , erppc,2X ER med laser, 1x er small pulse laser and 1x med pulse laser and 1 clan 15 . the good news is that it can handle long range and short range very well. today i tested it on the older game and it kick ass. 3 shots and then dead. the 2x clan Gauss and 15 clam up one ammo is the boss. and the people say its to slow for 47km cant say crap when i can still take the crap out of them. Daishi is a mech that you must learn to feel or you will be pissed. NOTE i was faceing two atles
