Yeah I've been pushing for the Black Lanner for a while as a more utilitarian Medium mech. The Conjurer should provide a well-armored Clan medium swiss-army-mech analogous to the Bushwacker.

The most common iteration of the mech seems to be this one though, which I prefer. It looks like a baby Blood Asp!

We're talking about the Conjurer. It also looked like that in Mechcommander Omnitech. Really, it seems like the shitty Sarna humanoid roboman looking one is the odd man out. Google image search 'Hellhound mech' and you'll get nothing back but the better-looking ones.

Now, the Dire Wolf gives us a much-needed ultra-armored Clan ass-kicking assault, but the Clan is still behind the curve with assault mechs. The way I see it, we need at least one more 'superheavy' to really round them out enough to feel functional - something in the 80-85T range. The Mk2 seems to feel too much like a specialized 'tool' rather than a heavy-lifting war machine.

May I suggest:

- Deimos (zomg yes)


I mostly want the Deimos because it's Clan Snow Raven, it looks like sex, and it's new and has pretty interesting loadouts.

Errr... are you writing it off because you assume this, or because you know? Because it's a canon TRO 3085 mech, and I seriously doubt MekTek still owns the rights to the art. I doubt Catalyst has to give MekTek royalties for every copy of the 3085 TRO sold, and I also doubt they'd even CONSIDER making it a canon mech unless they owned it.

Furthermore, what makes CBT assets 'free to use', but MekTek designs aren't? The TRO Hellhound/Conjurer is an Inner Sphere-looking pile of poop, but the MekTek design is the over-the-shoulder cannons, which I'm going to assume is the design you're using. So that design is okay to use, even though it's not in any TRO?
