0.5.2 Crysis Wars intro instead of MWLL intro + broken menu

If you get this error go to your Wars/Mods/mwll/bin32 or Wars/Mods/mwll/bin64 folder depending on what version you are running.
Install the vcredist_x86_2005_KB2538242.exe or vcredist_x64_2005_KB2538242.exe located in there.
That should fix the problem.

Confirmed to work with Steam install of Crysis Wars.

Launched MWLL via launcher, had Crysis Wars intro, ran vcredist_x64_2005_KB2538242.exe, issue fixed.

First i just had the roken menu, after installing vcredist_x86_2005_KB2538242.exe i cant start mwll (crysis is not working).

I reinstalled crysis and mwll and cant start the game : /

Edit :  I waited 2minutes and game started, but i m unable to play :

"Your mwll installation has modified files.  Please revert them to their original to play"

Shall I use the "repair"toll again .__° ?

Same thing as Romeox have, since 0.5.2 i can't play MWLL, my friend can't play it too. Absolutely same situation: at first game load with crysis wars intro and can't connect to MWLL servers, after game repair "Your mwll installation has modified files.  Please revert them to their original to play" and game closes. We both tried reinstalling from scratch - same thing.

UPD: copied 0.5.2 manually and reinstalled vcredist - seems to be working, but i get Authentication error (3), i got legit key.

What are you not sure about? Go to the folders described by Ingrater and install the VC++ redistributables.

Thanks for that - I had the Crysis intros issue after update - ran the redistributable and now loads straight to the wandering samurai screen. Thank You!

I installed 0.52 and had the same problem. Installed the recommended file, now the game doesn't respond and I have to close it in the task manager. I have win 7 64 bit operating system and a genuine DVD copy of Crysis.

Are you getting a black screen? Have you tried waiting for 30-40 seconds to see if the intro movie comes up? I've been getting the black screen for over a year now, but the mod never fails to load (unless I do something silly like alt tab out while the black screen is there, which seems to crash the game).

got the same issue now, after 4hrs of playing. made the mistake of repairbuild and for now i´ve got "modified files"
Any Ideaas out there?
