BTT: I really wanna try this map... <.<

Join MechWars SA at ~22:00 today, I'll follow ;).
I sprayed a graffiti on one of the ant-hills on Forsaken, "I was here! And you weren't!". Why even play on a server with a random rotation, hoping for this one particular map to show up? "MWBU custom" was running BrokenVista when I checked. I found a nice place in the tunnels for my graffiti, because, again, you weren't there.

Timezone-troubles? Just consider this: As far as I know Spooky lives in Germany, as well as Atlessa. Problem solved. (And if you were talking about the GMT-time, then I will be angry about that from now on because I missed the opportunity to kick your butts! :P ;) )

At what degree of incline do you get noticeable velocity decreases?  Is there a threshold or does it increase indiscreetly?

HPGRelay is running BrokenVista 24/7 at the moment, I believe - although obviously the pings will not be fantastic unless you're Australian. I think most US players get ~200, which in my book is still playable at least.

The map is very close-quartered, and works quite well for small (4-6 players) games, much more so than Jungle and Glory. Only two quibbles with the design:

1) Falling off the edge and into the deep water kills the pilot but not the 'mech, so you get a lot of radar ghosts after a while.

2) You don't seem able to repair at the spawn points. If this is intended behaviour then obviously I don't mind, but if it's supposed to be possible to repair there then this needs to be fixed.

You mean the mechbays? I don't think you can EVER repair in those, only the repair pads.

Huh. Seems a bit annoying given how easy it is for someone to gank you just as you step out the door...

1) This is fixed internally and will be rolled out with out next hotfix.. the terrain is levelled to the edges of the stadium in the underwater areas and the forbidden zone is moved to be just around the edges of the stadium... no more pits/troughs, cliffs or killzones underwater lol..

2) Singlebay mechhanger in SA gamemodes arent intended to allow repairing... with the map being so small, it can be tempting i think for players to aim up ramps and shoot people walking out of hangers... I'd personally look at this as griefing, there is no need to engage someone as they are walking out of a spawn point, provided they arent sitting on the spawn platform throwing lrms around.. we are also kicking some ideas around internally of ways to prevent that kind of thing on SA maps..

Thanks for feedback, keep it coming :)

Spontaneously exploding the offending mech would work.  Call it the arena automated defenses.  The people came to see a show!

I had a really nice experience on this map. Might be because I stole some kills and got into an MK2 pretty fast, but it could have been the great layout and constant action, too.

Oh my god! Ahhh!
I would say "But my point holds!", but I am not even sure if CET equals GMT+2. Total fail.

Anyway, sorry for making this preposterous assumption. I don't know what drove me into this craziness.

Just played a very silly and fun match on the MWBU server.

As was noted in the release notes, it really is intended for only about 8-10 players.  With about 16 it gets pretty crazy.

There definitely are some spawn camping issues, sadly.  But I guess that's just the nature of SA.
