Just had my first game there, and I love the visuals. It will probably start to hurt your eyes after some time, so games shouldn't be too long (30 to 45 minutes, I guess). But aside from that the map feels like an alien, hardly habitable planet and looks plain awesome.

Thanks for creating maps, Ivaan! (Also thanks to the server admins who pick these maps and put them into rotations!)

PS: It's nice to be able to land on the outer bases, so even an ASF-pilot can capture them.

PPS: This map made me think that we could use more versatile electronics. So a part of the main window of the cockpit could get rid of the dust (five tons of equipment). Or change all the colors so enemies can be seen easier (seven tons). Or anything like that; would fit quite well into the 'Mechlab.

Nice map, but WAY to damn red, it ended hurting my eyes after 10 minutes of playing.

Hey!

V0.2 is available!
Thx for the suggestions again!

I changed the colors so maybe it's less painful for the eyes. It's still red, but it's darker, rusty color.

http://mwllmaps.com/?map=tc-phlegeton

V0.2.:

- Changes in the graphics: toned down colors, darker tones
- Changes in terrain: higher cliffs around the center crater, lower northern hills
- Removed the AAA turres and two Sentinel turrets from the center base
- Added two new bases where players can repair and rearm
- Added rocks and landmarks
- Many other small changes

Enjoy!

Love this map! Great job!

By the way, what is coefficient of heat dispersion there? My Morrigu B feels hotter, then on Inferno!

Thx for the comments!  :)

I think it's 0,7 while the default value is 1 so the heatsinks are less effective by 30%. And the ambient temp is 110°C, so be careful  ;)

Just bust out the hotdogs and cook them in mid-air.

Nice changes BTW, I like being able to see ASF without squinting, looks better too, with the blue sky offsetting all the red. :)

I suck!! But WE are AWESOME.  We started a unit.  What's that?!  YOU WANNA TOUCH MY UNIT?!! :P ^^12thVR Recruitment Page(clickthepic) ;)

Map is looking sexy Ivaan, but for the sake of originality dispense with the giant red colored moon; the moon is overused in MWLL maps. :P

Change it for an original graphic perhaps? Would be better than stripping something out.

New idea- would I be able to use an external hard drive to add RAM and/or improve gigahertz?

I've made a small update, PhlegetonV03 is available!

http://mwllmaps.com/maps/TC/TC_PhlegetonV03.zip

- Tweaked graphics: Maybe it's a little bit more eye-friendly now

- Some optimization: minor performance tweaks

Enjoy!
