Seems like since 0.5.2, MRMs get utterly obliterated by as few as one or two LAMS-equipped vehicles. I've seen MRM20 salvos get completely destroyed by a single stationary Bushwhacker, and this was at less than 500m. Isn't the whole point of MRMs to overwhem AMS?

It seems like there's some bug that causes all missiles to just instantly die if the right one gets shot. I would see a few lasers shoot down a few missiles, then one hit and BAM, like 90-100% of the remainder would just instantly explode. Today, I had the 2x MRM40 Catapult firing at a Raven/Cougar pair on Mirage, and the two of them shot down ALL of the missiles before they had traveled about 200m. Seems pretty weird.

This has happened on every map, too. LRMs don't have this happen to them. I've also seen similar things happen to ATMs, but on a much lesser scale since there's fewer of them at once.

Just thought I'd report it, since it seems for sure like a bug!

Yes, this looks like a bug.  We're looking into it.

Not really. We tested issues missiles/lams tonight. And we've get following results: One LAMs (on any stationary  mech) are easily destroing salvo of pair ArrowIV. If launch ArrowsIV one by one (chainfire) it going to the same result.
Two any stationary mechs, both with LAMs, staying close to each other, will pass only 4-7 missiles of LRM30 salvo.

Still present in 5.6.

MRMapult vs Bushwacker (1 LAMS):

My 80 MRMs were entirely destroyed half the time. The other half 1-3 missiles got through.

No. Happened to me just yesterday though. A salvo of LRMs flew at me, my lams shot one down and they all went poof.

keep in mind that if you are moving your torso your lams has a hard time tracking.  that's why lams on a tank is always better than lams on a mech because you better keep your torso stationary if you're in the open. 

also lag affects lams as well...more lag, less lams effectiveness.  but then again, arrows may or may not even explode when they hit you with that much lag.
