As Leeko said. They are looking for a minimal viable product I believe is the words t hey like to use. All the main features are in t hat they want, a nice mechbay full of mechs and a few dozen maps and it can be launch time as long as the spit and polish are on it. Then after launch they can take it and keep adding on. I think they will attempt to try for something like two mechs a month, a few extra maps a month, and who knows what features as autocannon shells tick by.
Yeah but they won't have a "mechbay full of mechs" and "dozens of maps." Hell, MW4 mechs and maps are lightyears easier to make and it didn't launch with dozens of either. So far only what, 5 maybe 6, mechs have been revealed. The game was announced 3 months ago. You're probably looking at 10-15 mechs at launch. On the map front, the best estimate is probably something like WoT, starting with a dozen at most and very slowly adding more. And the whole 2 mechs and a few maps per month, not likely. That *should* be how it goes but few developers manage to do that and virtually none maintain that after the first year.
I am curious MitchPate. Are you possibly feeling threatened as your hard work with NBT may just die off as the new generation mechwarrior game comes ourt with its own league, and not allowing the use of outside leagues? It sounds like your options for NBT get locked in to a last gen MW game, or hoping MekTek will come out with their Assault Tech MP and hope that your lerague can work with it.
Why is it whenever I post negatively about a mech product it gets referenced back to NBT? No, NBT is not in any way threatened. If fact, given random comments posted by the devs, it's highly likely that NBT will have a league based on the MWO-platform. If not we can always shift to MWLL, our new automation will be so flexible and adjustable it'll make the transformers look like convertable cars

Regardless, we just started another MW4 planetary league up again and have 10 active units with 3 more in setup. The "last gen MW game" is doing fine atm
