*=Is that correct? Looks and reads strange. Feels wrong.
You need an 'and' between the two descriptors, otherwise it's fine :)
So there is no such thing as an adverb to an adverb? "Impressively precise" would be ok, I guess. Not in that context, but in general.
Still in doubt here. But I will take your word for now.

We have a ton of huge MechWarrior fans on the team, and some of our best contacts at Crytek are the guys who worked on the MechWarrior Living Legends mod.
I am not sure how exactly that has any influence on MWO. They won't ask guys from outside how to design the details of their game, will they?

Time will tell whether doubts were justified or not. How about playing more MWLL meanwhile?

As Leeko said.  They are looking for a minimal viable product I believe is the words t hey like to use.  All the main features are in t hat they want, a nice mechbay full of mechs and a few dozen maps and it can be launch time as long as the spit and polish are on it.  Then after launch they can take it and keep adding on.  I think they will attempt to try for something like two mechs a month, a few extra maps a month, and who knows what features as autocannon shells tick by.
Yeah but they won't have a "mechbay full of mechs" and "dozens of maps."  Hell, MW4 mechs and maps are lightyears easier to make and it didn't launch with dozens of either.  So far only what, 5 maybe 6, mechs have been revealed.  The game was announced 3 months ago.  You're probably looking at 10-15 mechs at launch.  On the map front, the best estimate is probably something like WoT, starting with a dozen at most and very slowly adding more.  And the whole 2 mechs and a few maps per month, not likely.  That *should* be how it goes but few developers manage to do that and virtually none maintain that after the first year.

I am curious MitchPate.  Are you possibly feeling threatened as your hard work with NBT may just die off as the new generation mechwarrior game comes ourt with its own league, and not allowing the use of outside leagues?  It sounds like your options for NBT get locked in to a last gen MW game, or hoping MekTek will come out with their Assault Tech MP and hope that your lerague can work with it.
Why is it whenever I post negatively about a mech product it gets referenced back to NBT?  No, NBT is not in any way threatened.  If fact, given random comments posted by the devs, it's highly likely that NBT will have a league based on the MWO-platform.  If not we can always shift to MWLL, our new automation will be so flexible and adjustable it'll make the transformers look like convertable cars :)

Regardless, we just started another MW4 planetary league up again and have 10 active units with 3 more in setup.  The "last gen MW game" is doing fine atm ;)

What you did there was convert "precisely" an adverb, into "precise" an adjective, which is perfectly fine.
Something like this:

Your use of the english language is(was) impressively precise in describing what I think about MWO.

Or

Your use of the english language impressively and precisely described what I think about MWO.

Like mitch said.

There are many ways to go about it, though the first sentence means more that his language use was impressive in its preciseness or accuracy to your beliefs or the way you would like to express those beliefs.
While the second is more generally that you were impressed by his use of language and that it was precise in its description of your beliefs.

The difference being that you were either impressed by the precision or closeness to the words you would've liked to have said, or that you were generally impressed and additionally thought it was precise.

Ok I'll shut up now.  :-X

That, exactly. But is there a valid way to say it in too words? "Impressivelyly precisely" maybe? :P

The basic rule is that you can pair an adjective and adverb together without the use of "and" but if you want two adverbs or two adjectives its best to use "and".

There could be impressively precise; impressive and precise; impressively and precisely; precisely impressive.

Or even "impressively with precision" an adverb with an accompanying noun replacing an adjective.
-----

To avoid an "And" you could cheat and have;

Your English use had very impressive precision in describing what I think about MWO. where impressive is the adjective and precision the noun.
-----

So you don't want more than one "ly" word in a row without the use of and, take off one of the "lys" and have it an adjective.

Also, that would be "two words" not "too words".

Oops. One typo in the English language and you immediately get a different word and look like an idiot who is talking rubbish. (w and o are written with the same finger basically, I only used the wrong hand :P)

I always thought that there did not exist any boundaries in English. And now I am not allowed to create an adadverb, what a shame.

Thanks a lot for clearing that up. Although the whole "and"-part was a little bit unnecessary, since it didn't reflect what I wanted to say. Next time I will invest more thinking-time into my use of adverbs. Time I may cut out on the content-part. :P

In 1990, in the Usenet group rec.arts.sf-lovers, Nicoll wrote the following epigram on the English language:

The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.

Baaaack to mwo.......

Is anyone else concerned the mwo team wont have their crap together before the clan invasion starts?

I suspect the is weapons, mechs, and overall gameplay wont be balanced then its omg clan rofl stomp time.

Setting the game clock to real world time may prove to be their undoing.

But in BT the clans really did roflstomp the IS.  The IS lost a LOT of planets before they get their act together.

True. But there is a big difference between what happens when writers predetermine who wins and battles are actually fought out by players. I cant exactly see a player run faction falling for comstar/IS tricks (march a whole galaxy into that narrow pass thats mined? Neg). Even if the invasion corridor is predetermined, i expect the playerbase to flock to the clans in droves.
