So we put up a BF3 thread and we are discussing other upcoming games and titles... but I noticed that NO ONE said anything about Infinity Ward's release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

We (LLC) had discussed the dedicated server issue prior with MW2, when they announced before MW3 that...

"Free dedicated servers for #MW3 PC confirmed!" Glen Schofield, the CEO of Sledgehammer Games, said on Twitter. "We are excited to be bringing this back to Modern Warfare."

we were all skeptical, now I LAWL because once again Infinity Ward has intentionally mislead the PC Gaming public into believing that they were going to make right by us. So what did they do? Sure they brought back Dedicated servers but you can not rank up on them. One of our regulars pointed out that they probably did this for the Modding community, but, realistically, its all about control. Since you can't level up on a dedicated server, you won't be interested to play on them for the COD content... it is pointless because you can't progress on them. So once again, I feel that Infinity Ward has intentionally mislead their customers just like they did when they neglected to inform people until 2 weeks before the release of Mw2 that you were NOT going to be able to have dedicated servers.

Really? They did this when bf3 was so well accepted and has dedicated servers....do they really not want peoples money?

On xbox mw2 lag and hacking with fail host picking really really ruined the game. I cannot imagine how bad it must get on pc.

I was never going to buy on pc anyway but damn they are being retarded now.

I'm not buying it on PC, not even buying it on Xbox. Unless skyrim doesn't last me 300h. Then I might have to...But for now I'm not buying MW3. Friends that have MW3, aren't impressed with it so far, but I doubt they have gotten far online or in story.

I might get MW3 when its like 20 or 30 bucks on a steam sale, if I'm bored.  Otherwise BF3 and Skyrim should be enough to keep me busy until Mechwarrior Online next summer

I wish this were true. Unfortunately, the last few Battlefield titles look very much like Modern Warfare. Almost everything that I loved about BF1942 has been lost from the current generation of games. BF3 carries the BF name, and other than prone and planes returning to the arena, little else that doesn't scream Modern Warfare.
