I'm really curious to hear the other team's radio chatter. No offense intended, because I hope this is taken as constructive criticism and not an attack, but there was not enough communication happening from high command down to the Lances. There would be long minutes between requesting orders and any order updates, and orders that were given were often difficult to interpret or required follow up questions for clarification. Lance 2 followed command's orders and didn't jump the gun, but it was very frustrating watching half the company get pushed into a meat grinder where we could have helped immensely, but our orders were to stay put and await orders that didn't come until requested.

Perhaps I misinterpreted how the command structure was supposed to work. Maybe the lances were supposed to perform autonomously the moment enemy contact was made and follow additional high command orders as they came down? Either way, on round 2 the strategy was sound but the tactics employed were flawed. And in round 3 the strategy was again sound, but the tactics flawed as missiles were not fired in concentrated salvos and command utterly failed to issue orders to Lance 2 who was relegated to a rearguard defense that didn't get into the action until half the company was obliterated.

I have also noticed that our command structures are somewhat lacking... My guess is that its because our leaders are on the battlefield, and get sucked into what they're doing. "Hang on one minute." can turn into several without any troubles. Perhaps we have some way to let the commanders just sit and watch? Maybe a ground-only fight and the commanders fly in VTOLs and watch?

This is from the first 14v14 game no? This is not from this latest installment is it?
Both the communications as well as the filename (November game?) seems to suggest this.

hell no

The best commanders stay focused and dynamic under pressure and enemy fire. If you can't handle that, either try harder or let someone who can command ;)

I really wanted to make it for this - my internet has been down since the 14th. So sorry I took a slot and never showed. Sounds like some good times may have been had amidst the standard trouble of waiting and disconnects.

Can't wait to watch the vids, and hopefully actually participate in a third event.
