Finding matches?
« on: December 10, 2011, 08:28:42 PM »
Hey new to MW:LL ... having problems finding matches ... is there a trick to this ... hit server refresh/ update server list etc.

no matches.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I know this is pretty basic, but just check to make sure that you have the newest version, that you do NOT have any filters on which would block the servers, and make sure that you have Crysis Wars/MW:LL listed as an exception in your firewall, etc.

These are some of the more common reasons that people cannot find a server.

If you've done all of this and it is still not working then you'll have to wait for someone with more technical expertise than myself to respond.

Sorry I can't be of more help  :-\

Also ensure you booted up crysis wars and joined a match BEFORE you installed MWLL, IE follow those wonderfull instructions the installer comes with ;D

welcome to MWLL and hopefully we can get your issue fixed soon.

give us a screenshot of your server browser. even if you can't 'join' a game, you should certainly be able to see XI/huntress which are usually populated.

edit: confirming that there are currently like ~40 players spread between XI/huntress at this moment, so him seeing no full servers is bizarre.

Did you run a game of crysis wars, and crysis wars is patch to 1.5?  You need to connect to a punkbuster server in regular crysis wars to get the cd key to register with Gamespy.

Are you running the game from the MWLL launcher or loading the mod through WarHead?

You do not load the mod through war head, you have use the launcher MWLL created during install.

means your CD key is bad. is this a store-bought copy of crysis or a steam copy? in either case, go to 'run' and type "regedit" no quotes.

navigate to HKEY_Local_Machine ---> software----> WoW6432node --->crytek ----> crysis wars and check to see if you have a valid serial in the "GUID" form. if there is nothing there, that is a solvable problem.

where did you buy the game? if it is steam, it is easy to find the key. otherwise it may be more difficult, but rather simple on the whole. reply back and i can walk you through setting it up, if you'd like. unfortunately we have to pay karmically for our friends' the software companies' DRM blunders, you see.
