So it's basically adding extra un-repairable armour to the legs?

If they fully repair the external armour but hold some internal damage are there any negative effects?

Sounds like a good compromise between the many different ideas that have been thrown around the last 2 years.
And its a good start to gather some experience with internals before adding similar stuff to the other components.

I especially like how internals can't be repaired.
Never arm once what you could arm twice.

Its a shame it wont make into next update but thank god you told us about it. Now the legging arguments can be laid to rest.

The moment this is put into release cycles is the same moment MWLL becomes the most mechanically diverse and solid MechWarrior title. Well, at least, from my design standpoint.
