I hope more than one of the variants that make it in game have LAMS.

Am I seeing a quad Lgauss one? That thing is going to annoy people like mad with enough ammo reserve.

Ugh, is the second one from the left what I think it is? Quad RAC5s?

The only ones that interest me are the non-boats, which, from what I can tell, are the middle one (with 2 MBLs, 4 SBLs and 2 AC20s or HGauss) and the second from the right (which appears to have 2 Heavy ACs and 2 Medium ACs).

What I'd like to see variant-wise is something that makes more use of asymmetry and varied weapon load outs for different ranges.

Example:
RA - ERLBL (5 tons?) Mouse 4
LA - 4 ERSBL (2 tons?) Mouse 1
RT - HGauss (18 tons?) Mouse 3
RT - ERMBL (2 tons) Mouse 1
LT - UAC20 (15 tons?) Mouse 2
LT - ERMBL (2 tons) Mouse 1
4 Free tons (4 tons)
GECM (1.5 ton?)
Total Pod Weight = 49.5 tons (which fits perfectly with canon, btw, if you assume CASE is used, otherwise give yourself an extra ton of ammo)

Yes, it's a frankenmech, but I think it offers a pilot a lot of options against a variety of opponents. Big slow assault, you've got the UAC20 to rip into him. Fast light mech, tear into him with the lasers and hope for a HGauss hit. Long range, ERLBL and HGauss as backup. Aircraft, you've got the ER lasers and HGauss, or hope he drops down and nail him with the UAC20. :)

Yes, unfortunately. This isn't a new thing, though. He's been floating around preview screenshots for a couple weeks now.

The hell with server rules, I WILL leg anyone that rolls one of these troll boats out of the hanger, friend or foe.

Asymmetry, yes; varied, yes; unfocused range bands, no. Like it or not, the philosophy of spreading one's damage capability throughout the range spectra only works if your long-range weapons have an effective minimum and you NEED something else to be able to engage within that. Currently, that's only LRMs. LBLs, PPCs and lighter ACs don't care if the target is at 800 meters or 8 meters, they're exactly as effective.

Actually what you have is a config that can't fight effectively at ANY range except short, and no reason to ever stay at long range. I don't disagree with your idea--in fact I quite like it--but I do question whether or not it would actually work. In TT, absolutely; in MWLL? ...ehh...
If you get killed, try to scream a lot. That way I'll know I'm on my own.

A Note:
There's a difference between constructive feedback and positive feedback. I will attempt the former, but until and unless there is a rule instituted that requires all feedback to be positive, I'm under no obligation to be nice. If you do something that sucks, I will tell you it sucks, and why, and mincing words or stroking egos over it only slows us both down.

New idea- would I be able to use an external hard drive to add RAM and/or improve gigahertz?

I like how the QRAC5 Fafnir has dual LAMS. If it has good torso pitch its going to clear the skies and be nearly immune to missile fire.

lol @ the four little lasers

Also 4x Light Gauss is going to be a real a-hole of a mech if that's what it is. But what I'm interested in is that LBX Fafnir on the far left - is that FOUR LBX20s?!

The hell with server rules, I WILL leg anyone that rolls one of these troll boats out of the hanger, friend or foe.

::) You do know these things are going to be extremely slow, expensive, and huge targets, right? Having such a reaction to an Assault of any kind is ridiculous. Mr. Bubbles has 3 RAC5s and it's not exactly a doomsday mech unless there's more than one and they're supported by other heavies or mediums. But hey continue to freak out and be a complete dick to your teammates (seriously??) I guess

Hahaha! Look at the thing; it's not going to be shooting down anything other than maybe some Shiva E's and possibly a few careless FBombing Sullas. :P If anything, it's going to get trolled even harder by ballooning Hawkmoth Primes and terrain-covering / lag-shielded FBombers.

Where the Fafnir will shine the most, I think, is TC_ThunderRift.
