Think a lot of that has to do with the MK2 B that aready exists for the Clans. Though, I'm sure the other variants could be used in a somewhat brawling fashion. For instance the C variant, and the B if close combat becomes unavoidable.

I hope we get to play them soon :)

Though, I was hoping the Fafnir D would have regular beam or pulse lasers. The X-Pulse Lasers cannot be used efficiently when you need to lead your target for the UAC20s.

hmm, i m a little dissapointed about the Blasp . . . There is no brawling variant with UAC20 . . .

anyway, good job devs, thank you ; D

Well, the MK2 already covers that.

I really like the Blasp Prime. A heavy hitter, no matter how far away/close you are :D

Why does the Blood Asp "D" say ATM9 when it's an ATM12?

^ I noticed that too.

Also the BASP C looks like it has 2*CERLBL not 2*CERMBL. The "x" is also missing. :P

And does the Faf really have DHS?

Well I am going to have fun in my Raven against these big boys.... Might even make enough money to be able to afford one myself...  ;)
I am looking forward to the end of a match where instead of a Steiner Atlas Recon Lance, it might have to be Blood Asp or Fafnir recon lance :P (or multiple lances as the case may be  ;D).

So we just need to tape some Jumpjets to the Fafi (especially the B), and we will have the ultimate poptarter.  ;D

That brings back memories......
We once had some jumping Daishi hacks show up on a server in either vengance or mercs.

The media release pics look great, Im tempted to run a copy down to the local printer and have posters made up.
Ive got the original posters from the crescent hawks inception and the mechcommander one tucked away, they would look great on a wall somewhere
You have to understand the code of duty and honor that rules those who pilot these engines of destruction. Placing such an awesome weapon in the hands of an individual implies a similar gesture of trust

WOOOHOO! The 4 LtGauss Faffy is in! <3 And the camper-sniper in me also rejoices seeing the configs on Basp A and E.

Faffy C will finally have a reasonable amount of dakka (you can never have enough, though). Though, honestly, the Faffy E is sick and I will have to try that at least once before it gets castrated. Also Faffy D... giving MASC to a brawler assault, that's almost as lulzy.

Wow!
Awesome and well thought out variants. I could use most of these and the rest of them will probably be used by other people.
I like it how the Fafnir seems to have very specialised variants while the BloodAsp is a bit more flexible.
What speeds are we talking here? Because this might be the greatest challange for the Fafnir as an LBX20 brawler.
But if someone manages to get into close range with this beast, it will definatly wreck a few mechs.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration.

It only has 33% more firepower than the beatstick. But this comes at the cost of not being able to touch anything beyond approx 450 m. The GECM should be useful.

Am I the first person to notice the Fafnir D being equipped with MASC? Mother of God. :o

Yeah... and *4* DHS.

This'll be pretty fun, even if I'm a bit surprised only one variant of the Fafnir has the iHGauss.
