Fafnir Nicknames

So, we have Hammertime and the IRAC already, but...


Alt. B:
I got lit up by one of these on Mirage a couple of days ago. He was chain-firing off of what felt like two triggers, since I got hit by two staggered pairs of shots (serves me right for planting my backside on top of that hill and spending too much time birdwatching aero hunting instead of paying attention to the ground like I shoulda been). Sounded like I was on the inside of a gong... *BONG BONG... BONG BONG*. It certainly woke me up.

So, what's designed to get someone's attention and rings in pairs?

I vote we call it the "Doorbell".



Also, Alt. E:
As I was writing this and referencing the wiki, the description of the Alt. E reminded me of a weapon from another game. Anyone else here played Bulletstorm?

I vote we call this thing the "Boneduster". Based on my single (very brief! ...ow.) encounter with one so far, it seems to live up to the name.

I suppose that would work too. I must admit I prefer humor that is a little more... lateral, shall we say. "iTouch" is too obvious, I think, but I'm aware that my brain makes connections between concepts at times that I find hilarious, but that nobody else gets. For example, I'd love to call the Blood Asp Alt. A "Kahr", but I'm fairly sure nobody here would get the joke.

Nicknames should always be a natural thing.....

i.e. : GaussDog

People call stuff random things in game, until something sticks and is EASILY remembered....a key to nicknames

Gotta be simple/short
Applicable
Easily rememberable/association to object of said naming nick

I rarely ever associate a predetermined nick to anything....Exceptions are Dev interventions, i.e. Beatstick or Toaster....since its in the name, it's forced on us....

I vote for the Fafnir E to be renamed "The Amputator".  So funny watching a Bushwacker faceplant or a jumping Catapult do a quadruple backflip as I annihilate their legs with a single shot.
