Don't start giving people with ability the motivation to make exactly that.

The LBX2 makes me giggle. It's just like a single round even though it's an LBX as far as I can tell.

I've heard it's decent for early-game dogfighting, though. I've never had a chance to try it.

Honestly, the LBX2 Sparrowhawk would be a great AA ankle-biter if the Sparrowhawk controls weren't so insanely jerky. For some reason, I can never stay on target with that thing. It has the maneuverability to make up for it, though, and if you get on a Shiva's ass, that Shiva had better pray for friendly intervention because it's not going to shake you.

Still prefer the Hawkmoth C for AA duty, though. Nothing tops that thing's maneuverability and the LBX5s are awesome at killing planes and enemy LRM VTOLs.

The standard BA SBL takes around or less than 1 second to discharge as it is.... also bearing in mind that pulse lasers have shorter range than beam lasers, and micros have smaller range than smalls, so this theoretical weapon might have a range roughly the same or slightly longer than the micro heavy laser, without any of the bonus damage.. pretty sure I'd rather have an ERSBL and a MPPPC than a heavy laser and a short(er) range sbl that happens to discharge a little faster.
A little? Compared to the micro heavy laser it would probably be a lot faster.

I'd like a mPL to be like a XPL. One 0.05 second burst every 0.25 seconds (thats about LXPL ROF) with 60 damage/hit and a 200m range.
That would bring it to a dps a little higher then the mHL, with more fire-on-demand qualities and better range but the lost ability to swich weapons in between bursts (so less overall dps).
Never arm once what you could arm twice.

In Lyran Commonwealth, Atlas scouts you.

I'm glad to know other people think this too and it's not just me being a shitty-ass pilot.
