Would it be possible for some magic reflective surfaces inside the cockpits that look like monitors but actually reflect through the texture of your mech to see whats behind you? can crysis engine even do a mirror?

Can i get a chrome mech....... fapping disco ball atlas head.

You mirror fans out there:
PC games handle mirrors usually like another camera, so they tend to be extremely expensive.
Reflective surfaces like shiny metal or water can be easily made with prerendered maps, thus not reflecting moving objects in the world.
As soon as you want to reflect everything, you also need to render/calculate everything which can be seen -> expensive!
And as the CE2 seems to have problems with weapons firing always at the center of the screen... this might get difficult to implement. Has been mentioned plenty of times.

Hahaha does crysis engine even support windows within windows? would fix all the possible problems with the cockpit and add to the immersion value.

It does, but even a 5x5 pixel window means a second camera and causes the engine to render a full view for that.
So it basically cuts you performance in half...

It's the same for a mirror or a fully reflective map, you need to render a whole second camera = byebye performance.
