Excellent news.  This should allow for more quality mods to be released in the future.

This is great, the documentation will come in very handy for us newbies to modding aswell!

Unfortunately, while it IS a very good thing for the artists to finally get many of their tools, we still don't have the full source code  :P

Hey, funny that...my priorities are on the code  ;D

Dude, we've already got more source code than anyone else outside of Crytek... more current code would be nice though.

Yup. Patch 1.2, which is just around the corner. Problem is, I'm impatient...

Concerning the Program Code:

To cover the similarities, zhey're both written in C++. That's it ^^

I'm currently trying to get myself into modding for source (hl2), but couldn't resist taking a look at the source code of Crysis. My first impressions after a quick glance were, that the crysis code is alot better structured and self-explanatory than the hl2 code.

The hl2 code, on the other hand, has a detailed and easy-to-use documentation, that's why I'm sticking with it right now. Would love to help the MWLL Team out at coding, but with my current experience at C++ and modding, I don't think I would be a great help. Sometime later maybe ^^
