No servers in Asia / Australia?

Hey all,

I've just been getting into Living Legends and yet I haven't noticed any servers on my side of the world (except for one in Hong Kong which appears to not have punkbuster enabled).  Are there no servers set up on this side of the world?

No MWLL server uses PunkBuster.

I know there's at least one Australian server. Think it's called HPG.net or something like that. Runs SA if I recall correctly. There might also be a The Older Gamers server in oz too.

One. Forgotten exactly what it's called, something along the lines of Comstar Hyperpulse or something. It's a little shoddy as it's run from Focht's home computer and only runs Solaris Arena free - for - all, but with the unfortunate lack of players down here it's the only game mode that's viable. And with the MWBU servers also down, we're outta servers that have latency under 200. It's not so bad above it as long as you stay away from using high bore ACs and PPCs, but there have been plenty of times when someone kills me with 5 shots with a UAC20 whilst it takes a whole ton for me. It's unfair but something you must get used to as a person living in the complete MIDDLE OF NOWHERE in accordance to the rest of the planet and this community.

Out of the servers currently used I'd stick to Huntress or the MWLL offical ones when they are populated. I'd avoid the XI and Russian servers as you'll be clocking 300+ ping to them and that's no fun at all.

At 200 ping aside from some hit detection oddities the game still plays fine. Though you will be playing with a handicap It's still possible to do very well too so don't let Snow's words get you down :D.

I saw a server hosted in Japan a few days ago. Can't remember what it was running, though.

When playing at my prime time, 11 out of 16 players on Huntress had pings of 180+.  Since I have a ping of 200, live in Taiwan, and it was 7 PM, I figured that most of those players must also be on this side of the world.

And, yes, you can play at 200 ping but it would be much nicer if there was a server in Hong Kong or Japan that would be available.  Although I'm not sure what the ping is for Australians to those areas.  Can any Aussie fill me in?  Would it be improved over going to the US?

Anyways, the reason I asked was I was consdering setting up a server and wanted to know if there'd be enough interest to look into it.

Ah... maybe it was hacked server then.  It didn't verify the game before entering.

Remember, this could also mean they are connected from Europe.
Just ask the players if anyone wants to join you on an Asian server. If more than 3 people apply you are good to go. Servers usually fill up in a matter of minutes.

Never been kicked due to 200 ping on any of the popular servers.

Most have ping limits at around 265 ping or so.

A few of us from The Older Gamers are playing still and having trouble getting the server back up.

Seems to be a Firewall issue from what we can tell.

Two guys from AEF, one named Flodyii and Lokyi have been playing and are keen.

I do run the TOG mwll steam group and a few of us in there.

I too hope there will be an aussie server up soon than HPG.

There is the server for TOG (The Older Gamers) is back up for Australian players.

I had trouble connecting by double clicking in the menu, but by typing in the ip and port it works for some reason :)
