Also does mk2 prime have 0 free tones because of those rules, or has that been just an error.
0 free tons for the Madcat Mk2 "Prime" is correct under the rules.

Then change the mk2 primes loadout to 4 small heavy lasers or 4 small beam lasers. You lose that medium range punch, but you gain just as strong short range punch ( SHL) or greater hear efficiency (SBL) + you get 2 spare tones (this is assuming SHL and CSBL weigh 0.5 tones.
..., but this is battletech, and sense is often not made.

besides, the MKII is so squishy (especially now that Faf and Blasp are out) that by the time you need more ammo you are basically a one shot anyway

I actually noticed the MK2 got its armor reduced by 9.5% in the latest patch.

The 4x LBX20 Fafnir is possible in MWLL but it has since been revised to remove all 4 additional tons of ammo as it was overweight by our build rules and not caught prior to release.
 
I've been personally doing a very thorough pass on EVERY single variant of all vehicles in MWLL for the past 2 weeks to bring everything inline with a unified build rules set.  There are going to be a number of changes that come out of this process but it is important as it will set us up for compliance with upcoming features.

Does this mean the KitFox B gets more pew pew? Monosyllable responses (as always) will suffice

"Legal" is one thing; "useful" is another. It's only carrying two tons of ammo, so you're still two tons short of MWLL's planned revision to the loadout (and six tons short of the current one!)

I just made a Fafnir with 4 LB 20-X's using Skunk Werks.

This thing still has 2 crits and 0.5 tons to work with.

So yeah, it's possible in CBT. Dunno about legal... But possible. It has 100% Light FF Armor, I probably could have dropped some of it to make room for more ammo like the MWLL version has.
