Random/Mirror match 1/14/12 4EST\9GMT

This week we will be doing two types of games; Dual pick random and Mirror match.

Dual pick will consist of each player getting a randomly picked variant based off of weight class predetermined from a teammake up generator*, if the player does not like the variant he may "pass" and get the second pick dealt to him, which he must keep and will not know what it is until he passes.

Each team will get a captain who has veto power to veto one pick from the other team per 5 players.


* A number generator will pick numbers from 1-10 with: 1-2 light 3-5 medium 6-8 heavy 9-10 assault.

Mirror matches will consist of random Prime variants assigned to each team equally (there is no other way to balance Primes).

Only Issue I got with prime matches is Owens Prime

if it was the "real" Owens prime I wouldn't dislike it as much, but this missileboat version doesn't really "feel" like an Owens

That said, PRIME MATCHS ALL TEH WAI

Keep in mind this little 35 ton beastie is dropping the same long range damage as a Catapult Prime for half the cost. 2 LRM15s is nothing to scoff at.

That being said, if the mech was built like the CBT version I think it would see more use since the dual LRM5s do comparable damage over time to the 15 racks and the backup medium laser and small lasers makes it function like half of an Owens C, more or less.
