I really never explained why I hate mechlab. I have proof now.

Harasser is broken in 0.5.4... People had 2 new mechs, and asset fixes (uzi and mkii) and harasser is one of most used assets! "No, i'm gunna win and if it means searching for an exploit and abusing living shit out of it, then so be it!" If for nothing else, then just for annoying people. (lol how quick they are to respond with some "cool" internet meme when you comment on harasser and be persistent like diarrhea)

In team, most heated arguments are always ones about balance... People really work hard to keep it balanced. Mechlab is going to be like balance argument on steroids in a room full of cute retards riding 0.5.4 harasser.
"The howler monkey is the guy who calls in a meeting just to avoid doing real work. He never shuts up, challenges every opinion and opens EVERYTHING up fo debate. He thinks he's helping but hes really just mindlessly shreaking into the jungle. Without him tigers would be inventing jet-skis. Rhinos would be speaking Japanese. Shit would get DONE."

People aren't using the harasser to min/max.  They're using it because the harasser has always been practically useless and now that it isn't people want to use it.  And you know what?  They're still pretty damn easy to kill, they're really fun to use, and people will still use them once the hitbox has been fixed and people will probably still complain when they get toasted by three of them.

You guys have to remember, these old past MWs games made players conditioned to go into the mech lab because the stock variants were crap in implementation.

So yes, these old vets think MW = Mechlab + min/max.  It's really they're loss since they're not being open minded.

Not having Mechlab is like not having custom loadouts in Tribes...

Sure, it can (does) work, but it's kinda... not befitting.

Ofc I know it's planned. just sayin'
When will full game/demo/beta be released?
We're planning a beta release in the next *very* few weeks. At this time, we can't be more specific. Please stop asking.

No, I will not stop asking.

Imagine the following: The Osiris C gets an armor boost and suddenly has more armor than an Uziel. I would eat a living elephant if you were able to find a single game with less than 25% of all the vehicles being Osiris C. All the time.
This is the Internet. Lots of dark creatures are lurking around, hiding intentions that would make the average person vomit. Driving a bugged Harasser to "own" people is by far not extreme enough to be avoided by the majority of players.

I am as excited as frightened about 'Mechlab myself. If it allows for too much customization in terms of weapons, lots of things will change to the worse. I played Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries after Christmas and built a 55 ton 'Mech with 14 Medium Beam Lasers. If it wasn't for the bad hit-detection that vehicle could have killed everything in the game with a single shot, being able to shoot about once per second. I am sure that MWLL won't reach this point, but unless we see the 'Mechlab we don't know for sure what is going to happen to the game.

This. Up to 0.5.4 the harasser was only useful if you spawned at the wrong point and could spare 20k to pay for the ride to the next one.

I know for certain that no Medium 'Mech will be able to mount 14 Medium Lasers in MWLL... they don't have the pods for it!

Mechlab is what keeps a mech game feeling fresh. Bored with that plain old Atlas? Lets see what happens when I stuff as many X-Pulse and DHS into it as I can!

We know that Mechlab won't make everyone happy and we'll never get people who want to do more than we'll be designed to allow.

It's just not possible to appease the vast majority of people. Especially the fickle MWBT community. I know I was pretty pissed at the "Color-Coated Retard-Mode" Mechlab of MW4 coming from MW3 and MW2. I understand why they did it, and they were on the right track, but how they presented it made me swallow my own vomit a bit.

I also don't believe there are just thousands of people waiting in magical cocoons that will hatch upon release of Mechlab. Don't get me wrong, that would be epic, and I understand we're in beta. Though, I think we have a pretty solid mix of things in the game to at least suit every playstyle favorably.

I hope we get a bajilion more players upon release of a single coveted feature, but I'm more appreciative of the community who plays the game as we build it, sharing in the same hurdles it takes us to make it and playing along, enjoying it as it is. That's the most important part.

I'd be perfectly happy as long as I can play in a full server whenever I want to play. And that has been the case for a while, I just wish more people could enjoy the game as much as I do. I'd rather play our game than any other out at the moment and I don't think that's going to change any time soon.

How i play this is it just for making it or playing and making it

Back to the original topic, I think the amount of players is a bit low, considering that the only server that is consistently populated (Huntress) is in US, which gives foreign players horrible pings.

And most EU-based servers that have even occasional population are running on some weird ruleset.

I don't think a hundred or so more semi-active players would hurt, even if it's in beta phase, because how it currently stands, we have to choose between almost unplayable or seriously handicapped gameplay because of the high pings and boring underpopulated servers and weird rulesets.
