TC 2Delta - LOST MY FILES BECAUSE AUTODOWNLOADER IS A BITCH

This is my first trial, to make a decent map.

Ok I have some experience with SB2 and co , but all my other maps are quickly brewed and not "really" planned and designed I just got lucky.

Long story short, from now on my maps will have increased quality :P

I worked 24h straight .. here is the result:

Update:

I am close to a release version already tested the map, everything is working just fine. Only troublemaker is to set the right amount of foliage.

Enjoy! Map is on rotation at our server: "!Ghost Bears Legacy"

Based on 2 Battletech maps (riverdelta – http://www.sarna.net/wiki/BattleTech_Map_Sets#Map_Set_4) merged together.

Features:

Improved minimap, your radar minimap shows hexfields with information like [R], [A],[R/A] and [!!!]

 

°1 Clan dropship (CL – Base) … should work -fixed solids and  deleted aero elevator (planes spawn now on deck)

[CL]

°1 Hex mosque like IS Base + IS Airfield

[IS]

°1 strategic point sunken Clan dropship functions as strategic point (has 2 repairbays and  a buyzone) +Bunker BA – spawn

[R/A] (Repair and Ammunition)

°2 strategic points with APC's  (they work if SP is captured) +Bunker BA – spawn

[A] (Ammo)

°1 strategic point with repair bay +Bunker BA – spawn

[R] (Repairbay)

°1 captureable IS  Base (also Hex mosque like) [2AMS, 1 eagle eye, 2 MBL turrets]

[!!!] – Base with defense systems

The floating repair bay is a great idea ^^

Looks good, and LOL at the Dropship in the water, didn't Deep Purple do a song along those lines?  I just can't think of how it goes. :P :P

Is that 2 eagle eye's on one base?

One of the biggest complaints i've heard from players in regards to community TC maps is the over abundance of Eagle Eye turrets. May want to consider that if i'm seeing that many turrets in the screenshots =)

Not going to be a big problem if that's actually the main base, if not I suggest you remove the Aerohangars alltogether because 2 EagleEyes in cappoints will render ASF completely useless.

The main IS Base still has 2 EagleEyes, 2Hellgiver,2 Galliope and 4AMS (Clan dropship has even 4EE, 4 Sentinels and 4AMS)
the IS_Airfield has 2 Galliope and 4AMS.


The captureable "IS_Base" in center has 2 AMS, 1 EagleEye an 2 Sentinels

the other 4 Strategic Points have no defenses.

The mapsize is 8km by 8km (accessible is 7km by 5km, effective combat zone  5km by 3km), so aeros will not be useless.

Totally. I was checking it out earlier and really like the feel of the map. Some feedback:

- The bases are awesome. They felt like real fortified bases.
- I'm not so kean on the general texture you used for grass. It looks more like green sand and I think the whole map would look better with something different. Let me know if you want me to give it a shot.
- The slopes beside the river might be too steep in some spots for mechs to climb out. Maybe it is intentional, but I can see people getting frustrated at times.

Just keep in mind that those EEs have a range of 800m vs ASF, so be carefull how you place them around the main base.
You might end up locking down a large portion of the map if you're not...
