New Player
« on: January 22, 2012, 12:56:31 AM »
New to this game, have known about it for a long time since I am a serious MW fanatic, just my computers would not ever play it, got a new gphx card yesterday which can handle the crysis engine(Not only handle but run at full) , I completely understand the game has a high learning curve, but I dont forsee this as a problem as I am an experienced EvE online player of many years

If anyone has any suggestions for me please post here or PM me, always looking for a group to run with

Thanks

wait, can you run Crysis or MWLL on full?

because I can run Crysis on full with great FPS, MWLL... not so much (I still do because it looks awesome though :P)

as far as playing tips go, read the info boards in the in-game spawn room (when I first joined, I walked right past them and then spent 15 minutes asking Mechman how to play and every single question I asked I later figured out was answered by one of those boards :-X)
besides that, your best bet is to stick with at least one other player on the field who looks to have a similar playstyle or weapons to you

don't be surprised if you get only 20-25 FPS in MWLL even if you get 50 FPS in crysis wars.  Supposedly the only way to get the most FPS is to have a intel i5 or higher (intel or amd equivalent).

But even on my older Q6600 that i've OC'ed to 3.2Ghz I get "playable" low 20s FPS wise on most MWLL matches.
Play my free open source web game MiniMek - Urbie Defense!  Its "mega fun" but with mini meks!

You're going to have to overclock your processor to get at least 3.2 GHz in order to play this game smoothly.
When will full game/demo/beta be released?
We're planning a beta release in the next *very* few weeks. At this time, we can't be more specific. Please stop asking.

No, I will not stop asking.

Should run well enough. And yeah, read the info-boards in the in-game spawn room, and when you are out in the field, check the scoreboard, pick some more experienced player, follow him and do what he does.

Attack the same target he does, retreat when he does. And when flanking, hit r to turn off your radar.
