Tech forum?

I see it as a game between NVIDIA and AMD/ATI. But whatever, it can be moved to the Tech Forum.

I see it as a game between you and our forumers.

*EDIT* Beat me to it.

New idea- would I be able to use an external hard drive to add RAM and/or improve gigahertz?

I only wish they were using MWLL as a test platform candidate.

Also, nVidia just makes more stable stuff in my experience and I'm happy to pay for that.  AMD might clock out faster or give more FPS, but at the end of a year I'd expect my nVidia card to be happily shouldering a day-to-day workload while the AMD sits in my e-waste recycle pile having died inexplicably, possibly taking other components in the system with it.

NVIDIA cards have always been Dead On Arrival for me.

Frankly, I don't think that going through a handful of cards from either manufacturer isn't enough to tell which one is better.

And by a handful, I mean less than a dozen cards of the same period/generation. Seriously, this amount is so low, ANY conclusions made based on it have an error marginal so high, there's no point in using the "experience" as a point.

Tired now, so I'll give you my 0.02€ - when a card manufacturer rolls out a new big number, grab a card of the previous series as soon as they get cheaper. You'll at least have some reviews based on which you can make an educated guess.

*EDIT* I mean it - don't speak about "my experience". Look at the big picture, perkele.

Apparently Leer overslept 2006-2009. The whole 8-series Geforce was great proof of the reliability of Nvidia cards :D
